Minor startup artifect with the cutscenes, dissapears with gameplay
Works right out of the box. Just have to say goodbye to the saves made on Windows, not a big deal for me
Cannot load save games from windows, only Linux saves work.

Used to switch to Windows 10
I needed to switch to windows 10 support, while firtst launching it said that windows 7 and 8 was no longer supported.
To fix: in protontricks select GTA 4, Select default wineprefix, Run winecfg, A window should now pop up, at the bottom In Windows version select Windows 10, select Apply and OK Even if you see Windows 10 already selected reselect it and press OK.
Then it worked perfect.
Initially didn't even launch. Coming from windows, the disk GTA was on was formatted NTFS. This did not allow proton to launch.
IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE EVEN LAUNCHING: INSTALL ON EXT4 FORMAT DISK
Then it worked out of the box. Online and singleplayer worker perfectly.
Everything works, tried for an hour in public lobby and no issues

For me in proton it works but not as much fps as Windows 10
