The game works well enough overall, with crashes being the biggest problem, although seems to be reduced/nullified with some Proton versions
Had to use GE-Proton7-31 in order to open and change configuration settings.
I experience frequent crashes on everything I tried other than Proton 4.11-13
Using GE-Proton7-31 I was able to open and change the configuration settings, including the resolution without issues. However, upon actually playing the game I encountered frequent crashes. I experienced crashes on several different versions of Proton until Proton 4.11-13, which I have managed to play for over an hour without any crashes using. Note regarding the settings (such as voice language) within the game itself resetting every time you start the game back up. This is not a bug, as the settings are actually attached to the save files. The settings on the main menu will always be default, but when you load your save you will notice that your settings are what you chose before starting. The main menu is purely for starting new game.
Using Proton GE 7-31 the game appears to function without issue, minus the audio of the opening. Audio can be restored by modifying GE 7-31
Using versions later than GE 7-31, I experience frequent crashes and issues, with the game crashing every time I attempted to load a game. With versions earlier than this one, the opening video would not play at all. With this version, I am yet to encounter any crashes or freezes, and the opening video plays, although without sound. By removing libprotonmediaconverter.so from lib, not lib64, the audio will also play with the opening. I have not encountered any issues from making this change, although I have not gotten very far and cannot verify that it will not cause any. With all of these changes, the game seems to function without any issues or missing features.
Opening videos were unable to play, had to tap on the screen several times to skip.
Would not work for me on other Proton versions, but seems to play ok on Proton 4.2-9. The opening videos do not play, but can be skipped by tapping the screen several times. On other versions of Proton I tried, tapping either did nothing or crashed the game. I have not played very long, so I am unsure of any other issues that may arise during gameplay.
Game seems to startup and function without much issue. Videos and audio all occur perfectly.
Using Proton Hotfix, the game starts up and plays all the opening videos and audio without issue. Game itself has functioned without issue in my experience so far. Only problem is the opening videos require you to press the Steam button and close the active movie window, as well as possibly press buttons/tap the screen to skip them. Fairly minor issue however, and I am unsure if it is even unique to Linux. Would recommend.
