Worked fine after a reboot, no tinkering, just used ALVR w/ Quest 2
Game was crashing when launching at first, but after rebooting it launched fine, even the newest version
Works perfect with WiVRn (set up via Envision, new dashboard also works)
When using WiVRn the desktop view may be a little warped & have triangles in the bottom corners, however enabling Smooth Camera fixes this.
env --unset=LD_PRELOAD %command% --intro-skip -skipStartScreen
Performance significantly reduced after Arch system update (menus can't hit above 80fps, gameplay can't hit above 50fps), unable to narrow down the issue - env commandline was to force off Steam overlay for troubleshooting
gamemoderun %command% -nointro
Native version will keep your mouse locked in the game window. Run the Windows version under Proton.
-nointro -openvr
VR ran horrible, but not specific to Linux. Desktop mode runs fine for the most part.
Game is a little unstable, might not be a Wine/Proton issue, but if the host of your active convoy leaves, your game will crash. VR also can crash or freeze for a while (also crashed XWayland once), but VR also has issues on Windows too
Native version has some minor issues (possibly because of me using Wayland) so I'd run it under Proton (Right click game or click cog in library>Properties>Compatibility>Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool)
mangohud gamemoderun %command%
No issues specific to Proton, but if you try playing GTA Online in a public session you will probably get crashed or kicked by modders. Closed sessions (Crew, Friend, Invite) work fine.
Launch args not required, however if you are experiencing performance issues they might be helpful.
Light flickers, multiplayer doesn't work because of EAC
Lighting constantly flickers when outdoors
