Due to the mf-install requirement and unreliability with controllers, this isn't quite a straightforward game to play on linux.

Game will not boot unless mf-install is installed. It just loads infinitely trying to open the game.
Using any more than one controller doesn't work. Steam sees the controller but the game doesn't. Even if you were fine with one person being on keyboard and one on controller playing locally it doesn't work. Both the controller and keyboard will be controlling P1.
When i didn't try proton-ge-custom as the steam play tool and just used the normal proton experimental and proton 6.3-5, controllers didn't work entirely, not even one.
On Proton GE Videos work and online play. But i had issues with local play. On Proton 6.3-5, videos dont play. But all modes work.

The game runs pretty well out of the box, but with a few minor issues that wont stop someone from enjoying the game.

Minor audio crackling on places like the main menu and character select screen. Those seem to be the only places noticeable though.
In pretty rare circumstances, you will see vertex explosions. In about 10 hours of play though i only saw them once or twice.
No intro video. But playable otherwise
Intro video does not play
Offline works great, with no issues.
