Wouldn't run on Proton 4.11-6 (wouldn't even make a log even!), reverted back to 4.2.9 and the game launched and ran with no additional issues. D9vk has been recommended to avoid graphical glitches by previous reports, so I adopted that.

Proton-5.8-GE-2-MF (which automatically applied winetricks stuff)
GloriousEggroll Proton installed commonly used winetricks verbs by itself. I did delete the Dependencies directory as recommended here, not sure if this is required with GE-MF Proton.
tried all kinds of launch options, tried moving the wine folder to my EXT4 system drive and making a symlink, nothing worked. Couldn't run game.
Runs as intended or better
Even after me driver hopping to try and solve unrelated issues and switching between proton 4.2.x and 4.11.x the game ran as intended. All bugs I have encountered were confirmed to me to also exist on Windows.
The game will dip below 60fps during fights. This is more of an issue with the PC port itself than with the proton compatibility. I had a total of 33hr of playtime and only 2 crashes. After talking to many people who played this game on Windows I am either insanely lucky or it actually runs more stable on proton than it does on Windows.
There is a fan-created patch/mod than apparently enhances stability and performance as well as upgrading many of the games textures. I have not tried as patch yet and have not tinkered around with the game at all in any other way. Steamworks is supported, but I have also avoided that.
After moving the steamapps/compatdata directory to an EXT4 drive and letting steam regenerate everything the game launched with no issues
Running through proton fixes the input delay of the native version
Extremly rare texture flickering that immediatly fixes itself
The native version had an input delay of over 2 seconds, while via Proton my issue is with the mouse sensitivity. I've maxed it out all the way and it still feels too low.
I'd like to note that I'm used to very high sensitivity settings as I cannot change the settings of my USB mouse (the software is windows-only and won't work through wine).
About the Input delay on the native version: I've tried disabling vsync as suggested by other reports, but this did not fix the issue, even after a restart of the game.
Running through proton fixes the input delay of the native version (updated)
Extremly rare texture or shadow flickering
Native version of the game has huge input delay. Still haven't found a way to further increase mouse sensitivity in the game's settings
Steam Achievements did not work.
(Rest copied from my initial report after my first play session. I have since finished the game.)
