Game works perfectly!... as long as you don't care about the audio
Alt-Tab cancels out of fullscreen. (Can be returned to within the "Options" menu with no fuss.)
"MyCrysis.com" menu at the launch of the game does not appear to work (Probably due to that instance of Wine not having networking access). Can be skipped with no further errors. May affect multiplayer.
Game works basically perfect out of the box. Might need to turn down settings a tick or two, but works just fine otherwise.
Runs more sluggish than I'd expect, given my specs. The opening cutscene is particularly rough, consistently lagging, regardless of in-game settings. The rest of the game is very solid, though.
Game works properly overall, assuming you can ignore any window bars that your distro/DE/WM may create.
Controller registers properly... but as a poorly-mapped keyboard. Highly recommend rebinding buttons as soon as possible in game.
Game seems to soft-lock after trying to switch cars for the second time. (The first time is part of the tutorial, which may be why it works properly.)
Aside from being in windowed mode (despite the settings menu saying you are in fullscreen), the app also requires Origin. Wine/Proton manages this alright, but it does require a total of 7 pop-ups with Origin information.
Did not attempt integrated "Store" functionality.
Playable, assuming you don't mind the windowed-but-actually-fullscreen look
Game registers windowed as fullscreen.
Works perfectly!
Typical(?) Origin pop-up windows on boot that self-close on exit. May not close properly when using the "Close" button in Steam. "Play" button in Steam may not immediately appear to work, but does in fact launch game after a few seconds.
The experience on Linux was better than on Windows, by far. (Limited test. Only used fullscreen, did not test audio.)
Only attempted an "out of the box" launch. Steam says its running, but nothing shows up.
Single player's seamless; haven't tried multiplayer
Some momentary hitching at the beginning of live-rendered scenes. There's enough of a time span between the start of a rendered cutscene and actual gameplay that it should clear up.
Works, provided the user has sufficient hardware. A R5 3500U with no graphics card is nowhere near enough for this game to run properly.
Any pre-rendered video presented as a flat, solid, color palette.
This is an out of the box experience only. Installed steam, installed wine.
The game would not initially boot, due to a "DX11 Feature Level 10" missing. Installing "vkd3d" from the Arch User Repository, and adding the flag PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
allowed the game to run properly.
