Experienced occasional crashes that hard-lock the Deck and force me to reboot
Ubisoft Connect will frequently log out due to "inactivity" while playing the game. I have the same problem on Windows, so I don't believe this is Proton-specific
When originally installed, had the issue others were seeing with suspend/resume causing the video to freeze. The latest SteamOS stable release resolved this issue.
Had to use a mouse to select the game on the launcher
Setting the Steam Deck to 30 fps mode causes significantly increased loading before/after encounters.
When the game is started without a network connection, it hangs on the Square Enix screen for several minutes. After booting, it plays normally with or without a network connection.
By default the game displays keyboard keys for all controls. There is an option in the settings menu to switch to displaying controller button prompts instead which makes things much more intuitive.

Installed via Heroic Launcher and it runs decently with regular minor frame dips (sometimes down to ~20FPS). These seemed to happen regardless of graphic settings ("very low" and "medium" had about the same frequency and intensity). Other than that, the game runs as expected!
