No issues found
Works perfectly fine out of the box
Works great right out of the box, no issues at all.
Läuft ohne Probleme mit Proton Experimental
Funktioniert alles 1a: Startvideo, Animationen, Sound, Steuerung, Vollbild oder Fenstermodus. Sehr entspanntes Basenbauspiel mit Harry-Potter-Flair!
The game runs out of the box, just hit play.
The cutscenes does not play.
Fun, but broken. You can get through 1 school , but after that it breaks. cut-scenes worked though. Also no achievements.
sometimes, with unknown criteria, attempting to play a room card, or open the headmasters office would freeze the game, and combined with the inability to leave, required a system restart (<10s on the power off time) to fix.
continue after completing first school broke game
Will not give Achievements.

I was worried going in about technical issues but was able to enjoy the game without any blocking issues.
Game slowed down as rooms are added, students are present, and/or cards are played. Unclear whether this is Proton specific or an issue in the game itself as I don't have Windows to compare it to. Drop was about 20-30 FPS but mitigated by reducing the graphical settings.
- Initial game cutscene plays on load, but stays on black screen. Requires a non-obvious click through to reach the main menu.
- Game does not exit when quitting. Game process still shows in the taskbar, but the game is no longer visible. Requires force quitting (closing it from the taskbar worked fine - command line
kill -9
was not required.)
Anecdote: I did not (yet) notice any memory issues while playing that were mentioned in other reports.

This game runs well enough IF you don't play it for a long time in 1 session and have a good amount of RAM. (Please read extra notes)
Recently I've been getting stutters when I try to play cards or place a building, but it only seems to happen 50% of the time and usually when I have a few students/buildings.
Recently I noticed the game started to take up an alarming amount of RAM which some times lead to a crash, and other times locked up my system when I ran out of swap space. I have 16GB of RAM and 4.3GB of swap.
The problems I mentioned I have only very recently discovered. I've done testing on Windows 10 as well but can't get conclusive evidence that the memory issue I've been having is a game issue or not.
I play with "Marathon" game length so this might explain as to WHY I see this issue. At times I saw that the game was taking over 12GB of RAM.
I tested this over the past few days with the default version of Proton and noticed that you gain a bit of RAM usage when you draw cards, but the RAM usage never goes back down, so it begins to snowball when you start drawing lots of cards. This results in the game using about 6-8GB of RAM by the end of a round with marathon game length (can take upwards of an hour depending on difficulty settings). I also tested this with GloriousEggroll 6.15-GE-1 (Proton-6.15-GE-1) and found that the RAM gets used up far FAR quicker (often times hitting 10GB used in 10 minutes).

It works just fine with the GloriousEggroll Proton. Even the Intro video starts properly whereas Proton Experimental failed to do so.

The game has been working perfectly fine for me with default Proton.
The video that plays at the start doesn't work properly (looks like the "technical difficulties" thing you see on TV). This isn't an issue as it skips itself after about 2 seconds and it doesn't prevent you from getting to the main menu.
This game uses the Unity Engine and you'll see performance tank when you get more students and buildings. I've had the game crash once or twice but I don't think it was due to proton. There have been reports of input lag but I myself haven't experienced it unless I was playing another game in the background.
It is enjoyable experience when rendering doesn't stuck to 1 FPS
When FPS drops to 1, the menu is extremely hard to navigate
It is hit or miss. Some launches are extremely slow 1 fps, and other time when I started the game is quite smooth no performance issues.
The performance issues under GNOME is quite weird. When it stuck at 1 fps, I tried to press Super key on the keyboard to see all the open window in DE. This sometimes solves the issue.
The performance issue is a real show stopper
The game was so slow that the mouse hover selection of any button in the menu lasted around 10-15 seconds so navigating the menu was not horrible experience
mangohud shows 1fps with 3% GPU and 1%CPU utilization

Buggy, crashy, and slow
Barely playable, around 3-4fps with frequent multi second stalls
Intro video blank. Using randomize on university name stalled the game for 10 minuttes before I nuked it. Couldn't enter the game without hitting ESC a few times to pass things not working.

Cannot be launched
Game takes 1 cpu at 100% but never launch main menu.
End screen (rain of meteor)
Have to press 2 times escape to access the main menu

Unity Game, pre game menu load, but, main window loop with black screen
seems there is need for some tweaking, but may become easy workable
neither Proton 4.x nor 5.x work out of the box yet.
There's lot of problems with this game, but most of them are gameplay issues due to early access, nothing i had to complain about Proton.

It starts to lag quite badly after a while, i dont know if its because of wine or because the game is still in early access
