Game runs great on SD as long as long as you use the GE Proton. Other comp methods result in stuck cutscreens and you'll have to force quit.
Text is small but legible. Clue text in images may be too small.
The game probably wasn't designed for the deck's resolution. Text is really tiny and hard to read.
Have to use mouse to select language and navigate the title screen, then switch to gamepad to play.
The text is really tiny that it is hard to read and it seems to be the way the game is designed rather than a proton-specific issue.
You won't be able to start the game unless you use mouse input first, then when you select start on the title screen with your mouse, you can then switch to gamepad input.

Le jeu est jouable en l'état. Seules les cutscene peuvent poser un léger problème de performance.
Les cutscene sont ralenties / sacadées
Cutscens doesn't play

7.0rc6-GE-1 GloriousEggroll

Achieved 100% completion using an Xbox One BT Controller without any problems. Game just works with minimal tinkering.
Proton-7.0rc3-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Cutscenes appear as this colourful bars that TV's used to show, which is a problem when games use Media Foundation stuff for cutscenes. Using Proton-GE is what I used to fix it.

6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
6.21-GE-2
Full play-through with a DS3 controller
There are three cut-scenes that won't play without the Media Foundation patches. However, they are very short and unimportant so Proton-GE is not necessary.
Works like a charm out-of-box
Proton-6.10-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
If you're not using glorious eggroll then mf-install should fix the cutscene problem
The game would forget you're using keyboard and mouse the second i tabbed out/changed to another workspace.
Controller was just not detected, even when it was when i pushed the button it would crash the game.
For whatever reason whenever hovering over clues in the investigation mode or whenever you push the locks in the lockpick minigame the fps drops to 20 for a split second
May the game have mercy on your soul on the laggy lockpick minigame.
The game froze during the playthrough. Closing the game with ALT+F4 and restarting it fixed the issue.
I palyed with an Xbox controller
Finished whole game without problems, except for a minor controls glitch.
Dying while interacting with objects breaks all controls, requires restarting the game to fix.
Now the game works except for the cut scenes.
Stops at cutscene due to missing media foundation.
If you are willing and have the option to skip 2 parts of the game using a windows machine the rest works fine
As others have written before, in the beginning of the game no input is recognized be it mouse or keyboard. I only circumvented this problem when first playing because I started on windows. After the initial screen all inputs work mostly fine.
In addition there is some weird issue in dialogs where the first one or two key presses are ignored, but this isn't much of a hindrance.
The beginning of chapter 4 ends in a black screen. Normally a cutscene should play but this never happens on linux. There is also no sound or any other indication of the game continuing. Loading the save on windows, bypassing the first scene of chapter 4 and then continuing on using proton works fine and I was able to finish the game.
Sometimes the game does not immediately start. Steam thinks its running and is unable to stop it but the game never properly opens. Killing the process and starting it again is enough to get it working though.
Game is playable without bigger problems except sometimes hanging on start and some small key press responsiveness issue
This might actually be a problem on windows too, but sometimes the keyboard responsiveness feels kinda weird. In the dialog menus sometimes the first few keypresses don't seem to be registered but this is not much of a problem.

Unresponsive in game
Starting the game and the menu worked fine, with both keyboard and gamepad. One the game started, neither input worked, character wouldn't move, no menu comes up, need to force quit to return to desktop. It's not frozen though, as background animations continue playing just fine.

With the latest Proton 4.11-3, trying to run the game is actually getting worse! My system now lags heavily, just on the main menu. It will periodically freeze up for a while, before momentarily becoming responsive again, before repeating the cycle. No other games that I play exhibit this behaviour with 4.11-3.

Game loads to main menu fine, but when starting the prologue level, none of the controls are responsive and so can't move the character or even open the escape menu. Need to manually quit the game from the desktop.

Main menu loads up, but when starting a new game it puts you into the game and controls wont work. There should be a cut-scene but it never loads it.

Title screen loads, keyboard works, controller does not. When game begins (Prologue) all input devices are unresponsive.
