Native version wouldn't launch at all. Using Proton, Vulkan only shows the HUD and none of the game. The game works fine under Proton using OpenGL.

"libSDL2 not found" and crashes the game although it is in the game folder
I was able to play it on another computer last year after some tinkering but I can't remember what I did then
could enter the game screen while the fps stucks on terribily only 2
gamemoderun %command%

By default game shows black screen at launch. You need to switch to Desktop Mode, run the game and change "fullscreen" to "disable" in game settings. After that, game will launch in Gaming mode.
You need to launch game in desktop mode and disable fullscreen in options

Simply selecting the OpenGL launch option will let you enjoy the game without any need to tinker
The game won't start if I select the default Vulkan Launch option. Using the OpenGL launch option work great however.
mangohud fps_limit=60 gamemoderun %command%
This is a perfect fit for the Steam Deck, aside from some issues & bugs dealing with Sleep Mode and maybe a few lighting issues.
Changed the Framerate Limit & Refresh Rate to 40 each, does not make a heavy impact on gameplay.
When waking from Sleep Mode, the game may behave erratically, such as the screen going to black upon saving & quitting a game in progress. Very rarely CTD crashes. ONLY occurs when woken from Sleep Mode.
Won't work on my rig with Vulkan for some reason. Had to choose OpenGL.

Game works perfectly native with Vulkan. On Proton it works fine too with Vulkan. Tested with the Mesa ACO compiler.
