manjaro xbox controller not working, but linux mint one works. why??????
why controller for flatpak steam in manjaro not work but flatpak steam in linux mint works?
keyboard and mouse works flawlessly. why controller pick distro?? I use flatpak version it should work. remap controller works pretty well by the way.
not being able to play the VHS tapes which serves as the sort of "reward" to completing a chapter would be frustrating to most people
VHS tapes are not able to be played, instead you will see a colored bar screen, sadly this means you will have to look up the tapes you have collected online and try not to spoil yourself in the process
Everything in terms of the actual game itself works fine out of the box with no issues
Proton-6.20-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.20-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
On my first launch, freshly installed, the game spanned and scaled to both monitors while displaying on the primary monitor only. This caused only the top left corner of the game to be displayed. Reaching the main menu and rebooting the game fixed it, no special manipulation needed.
Didn't have any issues in the game other than the initial launch being displayed strangely. I played through 2 chapters with mouse/keyboard before moving on.
Ran pretty well on Linux. Has some common issues with common fixes
Some areas, the audio died
Needed Proton GE to get some videos to play.
Proton-6.16-GE-1
Works out-of-the-box using Glorious Eggroll fork (Proton-6.16-GE-1), although you may need to set video options manually, since the auto-detected settings were too low for my video card. Also worked with Valve's mainline Proton 6.3-6, but color bars appear instead of videos. I'm not too far into the story yet so I don't know if that's critical. Just use Glorious Eggroll. :-)
Playing with pronton 6.x is impossible, but with 5.x works fine OOB, except for TVs screen
Only crashes with Proton 6.3-2 and experimental. I have played with Proton 5.0-10 until the end with no crashes at all
In proton 5.0-10 (that doesn't crash) and 5.13-6 the TVs images are always white screens (play vhs videos are important to progress, but the events when you try play are all triggered, so you can see the videos on youtube). Proton 6 show tv image, but the game freezes everytime.
run fine out of the bugs, except for the VHS tapes that you won't be able to see the image.
Here, every time than a video (not static image) is supposed to play in a TV screen (inside the game, not cut scene), instead of the video, the TV only shows an white screen. It includes the VHS tapes and an specific scene in rakan chapter. This is the only bug that i have noticed (i'm almost finishing the game), but the videos from VHS tapes are important, they have clues of the mirror mask pieces, that are necessary for achieve the good ending. But, since when you try to watch this videos the events are trigger normally, besides you can't see the video content. So you will be able to find all mask pieces following some youtube video or walkthrough. Even with this bug, it's work to play this game.
Smooth game-play with my video card settings and scaled down full-screen resolution.
An object that is supposed to show something is black (No spoilers)
Minor audio glitches and some rare texture flickering, but otherwise works fine.
Some minor audio distortion/glitches and rare texture flickering.
Works perfectly after some tweaks! If you have a NVIDIA card, the game will attempt to call NVAPI in some scenes which will drastically reduce performance due to said calls failing. From what I noticed, this happens when looking at both candles and rain.
To fix this, you need to spoof your GPU as an AMD card so it won't call the NVAPI. To do this, locate the game's .exe files in steamapps/common/Visage/Visage/Binaries/Win64 and steamapps/common/Visage. In both locations, create a new text file called "dxvk.conf". Then, put these lines in both files.
dxgi.customDeviceId = E366 dxgi.customVendorId = 1002
This fixed the extreme lag I was experiencing in the game and now it's flawless. If it wasn't given already, this only applies if you have a NVIDIA card.
seems to run flawlessly besides some glitchy sound
