Just like playing on Windows
Worked out of box, I have been switching out of it for other things, and it doesn't crash, full controller support. The game just works.
The only thing I have notices is some areas seem to really make my GPU fans ramp up. But, I am playing at 1440p, this game was made in Unity, and it uses a lot of layered particle effects and lightning for the atmosphere, so it could just be the game itself.
Performance is excellent otherwise.
Works good, except some performance problems in select scenes
40hz/40fps
The game has a standard Unity Settings pop-up launcher screen, which only accepts touch input.
Some scenes have severe frame drops, down to ~25fps, when water, rain and fog effects are present; main title screen with all the rain and flowing water has especially terrible performance.
The rest of the game runs smoothly at 40 fps and is perfectly playable.
Game works well out of the box with default Proton
Some scenes in 1440p resolution can have a drop in framerate to around 30-40fps range on my system.
Everything including the scenes with TV videos and camcorder footage works correctly now with default Proton. There are some scenes with performance issues, but not as bad as it used to be.
Works fine out of the box. Controls need to be rebind as the default gamepad controls aren't picked up by the game.
Default gamepad control didnt work for me, had to rebind to Keyboard.
Worked very nicely out of the box.
Worked out of the box
Playable, however some scenes are very slow, reaching as low as 1 or 2 fps, can be irritating to move the character about due to this. Haven't experienced any crashes, the main issue is poor framerate. Played for about an hour with a Logitech F710 controller, works perfectly as an input device.
Played through the game from the start of chapter3 till the end and only had two problems with the controller support. A; Whenever a game controller is connected I can't "Press Enter to start" to leave the title screen. I can workaround that by connecting/switching on the controller after going through the title screen. B; The game interprets the left stick being pressed all the time to the upper left. So my second workaround, I did create a keyboard with Steam Controller Configurator. There is absolutely no loss about this input method, except that the button prompts won't be correct.
Resubmitting report: Changing from Platinum to Silver because I spotted a minor issue. Played through full game one and a half times, game works out of the box but there is a scene where you can watch TV or there is a TV in the background. Supposed to be video played on the TV but with Proton it just appears to be off. Purely cosmetic and does not prevent or have any significance on the story/gameplay. Performance is decent, with maxed settings at 2560x1600 resolution, majority of the game was running at solid 60fps. There is an area late in the game where the performance dropped to about 20fps.
Works perfectly out of the box. Tried both windowed and full-screen, also switching between desktop and game worked fine.
