Runs smooth enough to still enjoy it (30fps average in mission, overworld more). As a turn based strategy game this is more than playable
R4 set to ctrl. Right stick behaviour changed to directional pad. Up:F Down:R Left:E Right:Q Click:Enter
A few items on screen are difficult to read. Using the in-game UI scaling fixed some of this but also blocks out some text behind menus in certain areas of the game. (the overworld)
Ran on latest version of Wine-GE-Proton. Worked out of the box. needed to modify the control layout as the camera controls are done differently on this game and ctrl is used in rare cases on this game to target environment. But otherwise I will happily continue playing this game.
I had zero issues running this game right after download. I didnt have any framerate issues during cutscenes or during game play. Solid
The Game crashes during starting
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp,version=n,b" HOME="/me/fakehome" DXVK_FRAME_RATE=48 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 DXVK_HUD="" DXVK_HDR=1__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus="NVIDIA_only" __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME="nvidia" %command%
Cannot play.
Used to be unplayable, now it's pretty good
At launch the game struggled to get 4 FPS, it was basically unplayable. Now, after the 1.2.0 patch and the intervening normal driver and kernel updates, it's perfectly playable. No issues after a few missions, performance is largely expected.
mangohud OBS_VKCAPTURE=1 %command%
Not sure if it was because of my mangohud or OBS capture, but the game would close a minute or so into the tutorial on Proton Experimental and Proton 8.0-4 for me. Once I switched to Proton 7.0-6, I was able to complete the tutorial and continue the game.
From what I've played, I haven't experienced any issues. A bit heavy fro its fidelity, but I experienced no serious stutter.
I added my resolution manually through the config file, since it wasnt listed.
Great game with a unique twist to turn based gameplay.
Does not start
totally broken, likely linux+intel graphics=bad
Game attempts to launch, nothing appears and the game then crashes.
System slows down while steam states the game is running. Nothing appears on the display and the crash reporter shows up and steam then stops reporting that the game is running. Tried multiple different protons to no avail.
So it must be played one battle at a time when quit the game and log in again. Can't recommend it.
Try GE7.49
Can't load a big fight. I started it once and was interrupted by a reboot. And now the save doesn't load.
In native resolution barely get very unstable 25fps
So for me, it run for 1 or 2 fights and then stutters to 0fps and then reset SteamOS
Try to run it on Proton Experimental and GE 7.49.
gamemoderun %command%
Game running on highest settings and 2560x1440@60Hz.
I don't know if gamemoderun is necessary, I just stick it onto every game.
It never made anything run worse, as far as I am aware of, but it helps with some games performance.
Runs lower than 30 fps.
i really want to play this game, dont make me get out my windows laptop!!!
system crashed, no save
signifigant slowdown during cutscenes, after completeing the first mission, FULL SYSTEM CRASH AND REBOOT! no save recorded so must start over again
full system crash after first mission completeion!
Audio stuttering
Performance is atrocious. We're talking FPS in the teens for cutscenese. Just general lag everywhere.
Game is playable, but UI is too small on native screen, even increased in settings. External monitors limited to low resolutions due to FPS
Text tends to be blurry when using forced resolution with external screen
Sound shutters when FPS drops in on-engine cutscenes. Works fine with 30 FPS though
Game doesn't support gamepad, but steam "keyboard and mouse" preset works fine.
Possible to get 25-30 FPS on low-to-middle graphic settings on native resolution or up to 1366x768 on external monitor. Seems not possible to get >20 FPS with 1920x1080 external monitor
Swap file increased to 16Gb by CryoUtilities 2.0, VRAM set on 4Gb in bios.
Game starts but runs at unplayable fps
Low fps to the point of unplayableness
Crashed once, then never again
Videos broken in Experimental. Switched to GE and things worked, couple videos had choppiness.
15-25fps with Experimental vs 25-35 with GE. A solid experience though.
For a turn based game it's a one of a kind experience. Though the FPS is below 30 it doesn't have any graphical glitches so it is playable.
Even at 120% UI size which does allow you to change in the beginning, the text is still small for me.
Stuttering during cutscenes. FPS barely in the 20s.
i will try to optimize the settings a bit , its choppy but its a turn based game.
there is an option when first starting the game to set the ui from %75 ( smaller font ) and %125 ( larger font )
avg 20 fps, somewhat choppy
[ DEMO REVIEW, I'VE ONLY TRIED THE DEMO ] Terrible framerate to the point it's not even playable
Terrible framerate, even on the menu, roughly 15 - 12 fps even with all the settings cranked down. Lowering the resolution helped a bit, but the game doesn't run nearly as well as it should considering my specs.
Oddly enough, the game takes a solid 30 seconds ish to boot.
I can't stress enough that this is about the demo. I haven't tried the full game.
Runs fairly fine with some fps hits on my System
I was getting around 15 - 25 fps while in combat, but since the game isn't realtime it didn't cause any problems
Not using Steam or Proton
