I couldn't play game with any steam proton version, so I installed ge proton 8-5 and it works. It didn't work with ge proton9-25
but I am using niri and gamescope, will try to fix fullscreen trouble
It didn't load save from cloud, maybe CCD doesn't have it

LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 %command%
Very slight and rare, intensifies with more traffic
Random freezes, game needs to be restarted
Physics is sometimes VERY weird, but after game restart its ok
(Update to my last report)
LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 %command%

LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 %command%
The game launches in Russian if you're on Linux Mint, and you can't change it to another language from the settings. You have to put LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 %command%
in your launch options to launch it in English.
Didn't launch with Proton Experimental on my device, had to switch to 8.0-5.

Initially the game wouldn't launch at all, but switching to an older version of Proton helped

При запуске 20 секунд анимации загрузки в стиме и вылет

Works out of the box

my previous report is not correct. i said that the game stopped working because of a recent update but this is false. after i restarted steam it started working again. i have no idea what caused this issue. sorry for my mistake.

game seems to have stopped working after recent update. before this it was running fine. changing proton version doesn't seem to help.
LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 %command%

Works only with proton 8.0-5

FPS drops at higher engine rpms, did not happen on windows

Интересная игра. Ну, может, с рулём и педалями было бы круче. На клаве непросто всё-таки...
Прошёл первые два задания. Полёт нормальный.

Works just fine
This game I played entirely on linux and I haven't had any problems running or playing the game other than that one time I had my graphics too high and started a graphic intensive scenario and leaked my memory, but that was my fault, not the games fault lol. Other than that, I haven't had to tinker with anything or change my proton version so it runs perfectly.
No problems whatsoever. Protondb 8.0-3 (experimental). Nintendo switch pro controller does not work, but it is not supported by the game.
Unable to launch this game.
When I launch this game, I get error which says: "nd3d11server to find any valid adapter on this device", I have tried almost every proton version, I have reinstalled game, But none of that worked. Do you guys have any idea?
Very much playable. Full steering wheel with FFB + shifter support
If a steering wheel gets disconnected, it won't autodetect when reconnected
Crashes sometimes
Not sure if crashes and wheel autodetect happen because of Proton
LANGUAGE=es_ES.UTF-8 %command%
Bringing up the steam Deck Keyboard and pressing keys does not enter any text into the player name field, the game cannot start with a blank name so it is essentially unplayable without an external keyboard.
Works well, but language is russian by default. Needed to add launch options to switch to english.
LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 %command%
Launch Options: LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 %command%
You need to also delete a folder, follow
Launch Options: LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 %command%
Then:
Turn off the Steam cloud profile synchronization for City Car Driving -- open your Steam client, click on City Car Driving with right mouse button and choose “Properties” from the context menu. Then open the tab “Updates” and there turn off the option “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for City Car Driving”.
Delete the folder "Forward Development" from your "My Documents" folder.
Launch the game. It should start successfully this time.
After all previous steps you can re-enable the Steam cloud synchronization again.
Disable cloud saves as per description
Runs great once you follow the instructions I gave. Had to rollback to 470 drivers for it.
Launches and runs as expected when using Proton 6.3-8 (Experimental and 5.13-6 have significant performance issues) without additional setup
Was able to use a DualShock3 SixAxis gamepad without any problems after manually remapping all the buttons, since it was showing up as an Xbox controller in game's settings.
Considerable FPS drops (from 25 to about 10-15) when using first person mode, especially on modded vehicles. Most likely caused by my hardware.
The overall performance is slightly worse than the native Windows version, but is often more consistent in certain locations, especially when driving between Old and Modern districts, the loading stutter is way less noticeable.
Runs pretty well not many problems, runs with oversteer my wheel works just fine.
Game crashes while in game
Sometimes it just crashes immediately, crashes when sending input, and crashes it crashes when you start driving

The game doesn't even starts
When I lunch the game it instantly crashes. Tried all the Proton version, no one worked. The log don't have any errors.
Runs well, works with Logitech G920/G29
Its working with Proton 5.13-6, not 6.3-5 nor Experimental verisons.
Screen and mouse is freezing, unable to play
The game runs well, but there are some small problems in the speed of the robots, there were no problems with the g27 steering wheel
Works perfectly, including force feedback on a 25 wheel
Game works basically perfectly. No issues noted after I fixed initial controller problems.
In order to make steering wheel (Logitech G29) function with game, select "Forced Off" in Steam Input Per-Game Setting. I also had to remap pedals in-game.
After 50 hours in game, all seems fine. I've had no language problems - it's all in English.
On my laptop (Ubuntu 18.04), no launch options were necessary, but on my desktop (also Ubuntu 18.04), PROTON_NO_ESYNC was needed to use the "Free Driving Mode".
Without the launch option, the learning/tests worked, but "Free Driving" would crash with "eventfd: Too many open files" and "13786.033:0035:0036:err:winediag:FILE_CreateFile Too many open files, ulimit -n probably needs to be increased".
With the launch option, everything seems to be working as expected.
I had to remap the brake and clutch on my Logitech G920, then it worked correctly.
No issues found.

All fine in all modes, after approx 20 hours of play. Working with Logitech G920, with occasional Force Feedback (It is sometimes on or off after returning to menu). G920 pedals needed remapping, but fine afterwards. Radio and custom stations all fine (navigate to the compatdata folder of the game, then through to Steam user's My Documents folder to edit radio.ini).

Game simply won't start at all. Tried no d3d11 and wined3d11 with no success. Others with nvidia GPUs seems to have some success, so might be because I have AMD, but hard to tell.

To run in English, set Launch Options to: "LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 %command%" Make sure that English United Kingdom UTF-8 is fully installed in your system's Language Settings (initially I did not and it corrupted my game install). Game runs fine on my system with high graphics settings. Play tested free driving for an hour.

Platinum because the game MIGHT run perfectly out of the box (as was the case with my wife's PC), but in my case buttons and a few tooltips appeared in russian instead of english. To fix that, in properties, launch options, use "LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 TZ= %command%", for some reason en_US does not work. Or use your own national language. It will also get the language settings from the Steam language configuration for most strings. Also, if you have a G29, clutch, brake and gas might be out of order, so you have to reconfigure, other buttons are correct. If you have a G27 (as my wife has), you have to reconfigure not only clutch/brake/gas but almost all buttons and even the H-shifter. Apart from that, the game runs smoothly and we and my wife had no crashes or issues after several hours playing.

The game refuses to run at all on any Proton version other than 4.2-2. Once running you're greeted with horrible framerate issues and crashes more frequent than what I experienced with Windows 10. Framerates range from 10-100+ and is constantly bouncing. Game refuses to launch at all with d3d11/wined3d at all and Esync off makes no difference.
Best I achieved before giving up was disabling multi-threading in the settings within the game. But performance still isn't anything to scream about as you'd imagine. Give it a pass, save yourself some time.

Both career and free drive modes have been tested for several hours each, and it appears to be generally up and running using default proton, and certainly works to a perfectly playable level.
I've used it with keyboard and with a Logotech G920, which is mostly working fine. The pedals needed remapping in the controls section, but otherwise work properly. Keyboard remapping is not detecting my UK Laptop keyboard layout, so when it asks for "" I have to press "#", for example, but otherwise works properly.
Force Feedback is inconstent i.e. when you start driving it's sometimes there and sometimes not - then if you retry a lesson, or return to menu, it might be working/not working next time. Audio and radio is working, though I've not so far managed to get any custom radio stations to work. No graphical issues seen on default settings.
Note that before running it, I have to run "sudo vulkaninfo" in terminal, as Vulkan is not initialising correctly without this (I think this is a general issue, rather than specific to this game).
There are occasional in game crashes, though I believe they're part of the original program and not specifically Proton issues. I've not tested multiple monitor setups.
