Proton 7.06 (7.03 works too, though 7.06 is right there on Steam, and is therefore easier to switch to) fixes the issue described by Battleman_Tot with the missing animations of the main menu.

Even uses all 16 threads of my cpu

I recommend Turning L3 and R3 to toggles Setting Left D pad to Shift key and Double tap for Control Key And another Input (My xbox share button) to Enter Key and Double tap for Alt Key
A little small in some parts
Once the audio completely died in Arena mode and came back immediately after but besides that nothing of note
You need a Mouse Pad bind or an external mouse otherwise the game wont let you select menu options and there are a lot of menus
Seems fine Enough although Maybe a bit dragging in FPS (60->40) but it could've just been a fluke
On High settings you get around 50-60 fps but it can drop to 40 if the action gets TOO intense although this is very infrequent in my experience and can possibly be fixed by lowering some settings here and there

The animations that appear after clicking on any of the gamemodes in the Main Menu are broken. The buttons themselves work fine.
Game works fine. No proton needed.

Works as great as on Windows, played Arena so far
Opening the menu to for example change settings seems to show the taskbar for a split second but its just a visual bug so it isnt too bad
Having "Force Full Compostion Pipeline" enabled on Nvidia X Server Settings makes the game feel a bit stuttery, quite delayed and some screen tearing was seen, disabling it seems to fix and there is no screen tearing
Added Alt to left Trackpad menu.
The mission reminders and... everything in the arena-only menus are a touch too small, this is only a genuine issue for the skill tutorials, everything else is just flavor.
Limited refresh rate to 40 and power to 10 watts.
Some parts of the game have small text, like the mission objectives during difficulty selection and character dialogue. Additionally, the dialogue is partially hidden behind the performance overlay.
Both the main menu and pause menu require usage of the touch screen
Worked great out of the box this time, no idea what I was doing wrong before.

Utterly broken for me, glad others are able to get it working. No launch options or anything made any difference. I refunded immediately.
none, PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1, PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1, PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1
Game starts fine but as play continues performance rapidly degrades, by 60 seconds in-game framerates are in the single digits.
Game would become utterly non-responsive and have to be manually killed, also on several occasions the game just exits on pressing Escape instead of opening a menu.
Hopefully this was a fluke but if others get similar performance and can solve it let me know!

6.19-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
the thumbnail previews on the main menu may not function properly but the gameplay itself works about as seamlessly as i would imagine it does on windows.
Only a few very minor graphical glitches appear
Shadows will glitch out (can be prevented by setting the game to very low). Also, previews in the main menu and other gameplay elements that normally re-render the game render static instead (though, this can be beneficial to fps).
The native linux build is a few years old, therefore you must use steam play if you wish to get the most recent version of the game.
Running the game with no flag resulted in very low fps. Using PROTON_USE_WINE3D=1 i got a playable experience. And with PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 and PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 a very fluid one.
Because of the stuttering, some players might get frustrated.
Stuttering, uncomfortable, but playable.

except some lag during loading screen, everything else runs just fine. but given that the game was just released, this could be fixed later.
some cracking occured during startup screen, but later when menu loads, audio works very well.
when picking up weapons using Q
button, it doesn't always work. this could be a game bug, though.
there was some jitter during startup, but when menu is loaded, all is smooth and fine
