60 FPS limit + 7 TDP limit

Similarly to Banner Saga 2, if you want to import the saves from the previous game, you need to do it manually. Besides that there were no issues

Compability mode with Proton 8.0.4 Text slightly smaller then on windows version but it's still readable and everything works well

text slightly small, but still readable
Game could not detect my Banner Saga 2 savefile so I manually copied it into my home directory and browsed to it using the folder explorer provided by the game.
Launching directly from Steam causes a crash-to-desktop. Changed the compatibility to the latest GE proton (GE-Proton7-43) and the game works perfectly. Just as good as native Windows. To import banner saga 2 save file I had to copy it (~/.steam/steam/userdata//281640/remote/save/saga2) to my home directory and then browse to it in-game.
Took a while to get the game to work. Some proton versions didnt launch at all. Some crashed during the loading screen. I had to switch to my Intel graphics chip rather than my NVidia graphics card, that got me into the title screen. Starting a new game would crash for all proton versions above 5.0-10, but that one worked for me.
I also moved Steam Linux Runtime - Soldier to the second drive where I install my games. I dont know if that affected anything.

Crashes often. Usually after loading save game.

Game Launches, Attempts to Load, and Crashes Before Getting to the Main Menu
sound=false
It seems like this is back to not working unless using the sound=false launch option. I attempted running this via several different versions of Proton which include 5.13-6, 6.3-8, 7.0-2, and pretty much every version of ProtonGE from 7-2 to 7-10 and none of them worked for me.
Initial launch attempts resuited in a crash, however game launched successfully after 1-2 retries.
Unfortunately, after starting a new game from the main menu the game crashed again. Relaunching and choosing "Resume game" after that crash worked and the game behaved well afterwards.
Could only get this to launch going back to older version of proton

Unable to start the game proper
Tried, initially, to run with the latest version of proton, 6.3-7, but the game wound't load. Then tried using a previous version 5.13-6. With this version I was able to load the main menu, but as soon as I tried to begin playing the game crashed. After multiple tries I gave up.

Sometimes crashes on launch, sometimes during the game, but not very often.
Game will often crash at launch. If this happens, just try again. Once it manages to start and load your save game, it won't crash any more.
First Banner Saga that didn't stutter for me running in Linux. Other than crashes at start, the game was actually quite enjoyable.
Sometimes the game failed to open in fullscreen and immediatly shuts down. Just starting again a couple of time fixes this.

Just resize the window))))
black screen while video plays, but it is become normal, after resizing window
game crashing while launch. I resize window with game and it works
Sometimes the game would crash after launch. This could be fixed by renaming "TheBannerSaga3" in the proton user directory under "Application Data". Afterwards the saved game could be resumed normally using the ingame "Resume" button for some reason (?!)

you could play the game even with the stuttering, and then reset the game once the stuttering is too heavy.
pulseaudio reset and latency reduction
the game launches and display correctly the content only around a square-ish aspect-ratio. Windowed worked, resizing it more than a certain point turned most of the graphical elements to black (not everything, words and gui is visible even when the black occurs)
only windowed. Escaping fullscreen and minimizing is the only way i can make the game start.
incremental stuttering and gpu load
Using i3 wm. Launching the game from lutris on a different workspace where the game loads. Switching workspace to the one with lutris. Launching consequently the game windowed. This way i was able to make the game start, and even import saves. i had to switch again workspaces once the game start to make the screen visible and not black. Had to resize to a square-ish ratio the window or the content of the screen would appear black making the game not playable. Then played the game for two hours. No disable audio needed, audio worked fine, game worked fine. stuttering occurred and climaxed by 2 hours, forcing me to shut down the game.

The game launches successfully if the sound=false option is used. This, obviously, means that there will be no sound in the game.
I have experienced some crashes during loading screens, however, restarting the game and loading the most recent save seemed to work.

Game launches a window and gets to a loading screen, but crashes shortly afterwards.

Only launches with sound disables (sound=false option)

Loading screen shows up for a few seconds, then crashes.

Same as TBS2. Black battleground, black cutscenes.
