Using Gamescope the game runs perfectly.

Played GOG version with Proton 7.0-1 and in window mode.
Game is only playable using the launch option --option fullscreen=FALSE
Fullscreen was black. Audio played, cursor would show, but screen was otherwise completely black.
Only one screen resolution was selectable in the configurator and it was 1024x768. Full screen this does not display. Windowed it cuts off part of the game on a 1366x768 desktop.
Except the low resolution it works fine (with visible fonts) on Proton 5.0-7
Maximum resolution is 1024x786
Only works with --option fullscreen=FALSE
It works just out of the box if the resolution is set to 1024x768. No hassle other than this.

Loads black screen. Audio plays, and when it hits the main menu, the cursor is visible, but that is it. Recommended tweaks did not resolve issue.
