Once Proton version was changed I was able to play the entire game from beginning to end with no major issues.
If Proton 9.0 was not forced the game would not let me select OK when trying to Exit the game
If Proton is not change the biggest obstacle would be that you would have to force close the game using the Steam menu to exit.
Possible issues with timing during battle as others have mentioned. Not bad enough to mess around to get it fixed.
As was the case with the first game, with native, there was no audio. I forced the use of Proton under the "Compatibility" settings, and the audio started working without issue.
I played through the entire game from start to finish, and encounted no issues. The game stayed at 60fps, with a few short dips here and there. I used the default controls, which were very intuitive. Great experience!

Using the native runtime, either fullscreen or audio is broken on my system. Using proton, everything works fine out of the box.
