5fps with 36core CPU WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY=4 fixes it
The Native Linux port has visual artifacts with latest Nvidia drivers under wayland. Switching to Proton Experimental the game looks perfect BUT on my 36 core CPU it was running at 5fps. WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY=16 brought fps to 50, WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY=8 to 110 WINE_CPU_TOPOLOGY=4 was best at 190fps and everything was perfect.

I always forget to look if a game is Native on Linux and just use Proton Experimental out of habit. The game worked perfectly without issues on PC/Proton Experimental.
Changing resolution twice and restarting the game solved it
Native version has lots of issues, graphical or otherwise (specially at the endgame); use Proton-GE and have fun
40fps and refresh rate cap. FSR enabled with sharpening set to 3.
You have to switch to controller controls manually in the setting with touch (on Steam Deck without a mouse) before starting a new game.
Controller is not detected and set to default automatically.
Does not seem to support steam deck controls, unable to do anything after getting into the main menu.


Game works native on Linux. On Proton it works out of the box. I installed manually D9VK and it worked now as well fine with this DX9 to Vulkan translation.
