"EAC login failed". Can't run game in Multiplayer, on in single player mode.

Game runs perfectly fine, but I run it through GE Proton cause I feel like it runs better, but it's fine in the native version.
The game is fine. A couple of months ago when I played it on Arch it was acting wierd, but that might have just been my computer.

Text are really tiny and there is no way to adjust it. I do not recommend to play on Steam Deck unless you plug it into a dock and play in a bigger Monitor/TV.
It runs well on Linux, but at the Screen of Steam Deck the text is too small.

Execent game, unique among its kind
Charming aesthetic art style with highly fluid pix-splash combat, recommend with all my hearth

I don't recommend playing on the native version if you want to use a controller (it just doesn't connect for some reason)

outothebox, literal instalar y jugar
sin problemas , ni en conectividad ni en estabilidad, suave como el amor de mama
no usar ulancher o shortcuts que utilicen las distribuciones de teclado al jugar, como serian control, shift, espacio y cosas asi, se puede jugar de maravilla

UI and text is unreadable. Game is currently a pain for the eyes and no way to change the settings

Limit TDP to 8W
Don't limit the FPS below 60 otherthise it feels slow(er)
Occasional stutter, no crashes tho
If you were using the Native Build of the Game you won't have much fun. It'll crash frequently and the ping is extremly high. All other versions of Proton wont allow you to connect to the game's online server. Apart from Proton GE > 7.54 nothing worked. Proton GE did work only in Desktop Mode otherthise the Online Services aren't available.

Frequently crashes
Randomly Crashes.
This Game shouldnt be rated Gold, Silver would be a better rating, playing online is hardly a good experience for the linux users
cant save my stat points selection after leaving, everything other than that works perfectly fine
Sometimes it freezes
It crashes often and resets your stats
Its a 50/50 situation when playing, if youre lucky, then it'll work one time
Don't use Experimental
Online used to work (with minor issues) on Steam Deck, but with the addition of EAC it doesn't work anymore. I can launch the game, pick "Play online", log in and if I'm lucky I can get to lobby for a second (sometimes not even that) and the game closes (not sure if due to a crash).
Neither of the following work to fix the issue:
- switching to Windows version and running it via Proton
- switching to beta version of the game -- it uses different online server with different account and there are no saved characters from stable server
Much of the in game text is very small on the steam deck screen.
Cloud saves do not seem to work correctly, I lost a char between my pc and steam deck.
Game can run a slight bit slow sometimes, but still very playable.
The game would periodically crash. This seemed to have been corrected by disabling Esync
The game overall ran fine, but for some reason the in-game menus (e.g. inventory) were laggy and not as responsive. Had to use keyboard input to prevent miss-clicks here.

Does not like fullscreen and there are artefacts in the window borders
Massive artifacts on fullscreen
Does not run through steam. Running directly works fine after installing mesa-libGLU package
Great game, bad native port but runs great with Proton
Please read this before deciding which port to use
Hero Siege manually looks for a SSL certification with the name ca-certificates
in /etc/ssl/certs
so make sure that you have one. It likely contains a ca-bundle.crt
and `ca-bundle.trust.crt, but depending on your distro and version it may already exist and just work.
Now for the bigger problems
- The ping is substantially higher in the Linux port, according to the screen indicator, which I am inclined to doubt. No you cannot disable this indicator.
- Most UI elements do not work. The loot filters are broken, relics do not show up most of the time, among other things.
- Sometimes you end up de-syncing with the server and rent unable to attack or execute any actions whatsoever.
It's rough that this game has the native green banner on it when it has all these glaring issues with the Linux port. If you want a smooth experience, use the Windows port through Proton because it will be miles more bearable.
Native mode didn't work, had to run the game using Proton experimental. It worked fine from that point.
Did not run from the steam library. Use terminal to navigate to SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/HeroSiege/linux, then run $ ./Hero_Siege Notably, libsteam_api.so segfaults, and run.sh complains about librtmp.so.1 being missing. (the other two executable files in that directory)
Didnt start native. Worked with proton exeprimental
Native version does not work. I could also not get it to work through proton.

Proton-5.11-GE-1-MF
Native wouldn't run because some stuff were missing so I installed the windows version and using proton worked perfectly.
