Fps cap 40
Rockstar Social Club is required. I only had to log in once and then it automatically launched and logged in each time.
Great game that worked well throughout. Occasionally, it failed to log in to the Rockstar service but this always worked second time by relaunching the game.
Needed to set PulseAudio latency to mitigate crackling/skipping

runs great
Set game to medium preset and capped frame rate to 40 FPS via SteamOS

Major frame drops when loading that quickly go away

-rglLanguage=ru-RU
TDP - 10
Решается изменением размера субтитров в настройках. It is solved by changing the size of subtitles in the settings.
Наконец-то можно прикоснуться к этому шедевру с нормальной частотой кадров.

Pretty good once you get past the launcher. Had to tinker with graphics settings a bit with DeckHD Screen. Audio crackling can be mitigated.
PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=1 %command%
Need touchpad remapped to mouse, or touch screen, to navigate Rockstar Launcher on first launch. Need to invoke keyboard manually (STEAM + X) to input login information.

Used DeckHD 1200p (1920x1200) screen. Game plays great (60 fps in Armadillo with slight momentary hitches) at 1920x1200 resolution with following settings:
Steam Deck QAM (... Button)
- Refresh Rate: 60 FPS (60Hz)
Ingame Settings (Options -> Graphics)
- Screen Type: Fullscreen
- Resolution: 1920 x 1200
- Refresh Rate: 60 Hz
- Framerate Cap: 60fps
- V-Sync: Off
- Triple Buffering: Off
- Shadow Quality: Low
- Shadow Blend: Dithered
- Anisotropic Level: x16
- Anti-Aliasing / Upscaling Method: FXAA
- Resolution Scaling: Off
- Motion Blur: Disabled
- Level of Detail Settings: (All settings here start with 1 at the far left)
- Geometry: 2/6
- Terrain: 2/10
- Tree LoD: 1/5
- Tree Draw Distance: 1/3
- Grass: 2/6
Additional Information
- My Steam Deck has a custom PTM thermal pad cooling solution
- My Steam Deck has been modified to have 4GB of VRAM
- This information is with very little time spent ingame. Will update later if anything changes throughout my playthrough (mainly of Undead Nightmare)

Play it NOW, finally on PC! I Ran it with GE and I always do for future tinkering but it run with the default proton too.

Seems ok. Played for just 10 minutes from start, will update later when i play more (if i find any bugs), but so far looks good on deck.
So far so good, high preset with FSR3 quality gives ~60 FPS. Ultra will give you ~30FPS with max graphics quality. Everything else (controls, hdr, audio, etc) just work out of the box. Need to deal with rockstar launcher but it's single-time login and it won't bother you after initial setup (just like any r* games).
Rockstar Games Launcher

Need to log in to Rockstar Games Launcher
Massive frame drops when area first loads, smooth 60 after

FSR3 and 45FPS frame cap
Played on my OLED, default high settings plus FSR3. i get 12~16 watts @45fps ~ 3+ hrs

RDR is a decent port. Not worth the price it is at. but it's a good experince on the deck.
Set the shadow options to medium, set the GPU Clock 1000MHZ and set the TDP limit to 10 watts. I would recomend tinkering with the level of detail options as that can vary depending on the situation(s) you would experince in RDR1 and Undead Nightmare. I would also recomend to set the refresh rate to around 50 to 40 Hz to get extra battery life. This all together can range your battery life to 2 hours (at around 90%)
Rockstar Games Launcher is still buggy as usual. Needs login even if your R*G Account is connected to Steam.
The legal and terms of service is barely illegible (It seems it's more of a issue on Rockstars end than the resolution as putting grey text on a black background is a 'great' idea.)
I did this testing on my Steam Deck LCD. I'm unsure of the performance on the OLED but I doubt it would be too different.
The Rockstar Games Launcher is still the problem here, if it wasn't apart of the game, the game would be verified.
