Runs out of box, may play smoother with costum launch options
May have slight framedrops sometimes in custcenes, nothing that impacts gameplay.
When I did return to the game, after 7 years from my initial review, it run almost perfectly. The only real trouble I had was adapting to the difficulty of the hardest game modes, and doing the rarest achievements. Some performance launch options (like DXVK_ASYNC and mesa_glthread) may help with eventual cutscene framedrops.
A big part of the difficulty I've face came from the dirty-cheap joystick I had at the time, that endend with two broken buttons after getting all achievements this game. Definitivily worth it.
a very nice metroidvania with tons of equipment, do NOT change the refresh rate, game logic is tied to framerate
the game is good, but do not use the "..." button to change the refresh rate below 60, game logic is tied to framerate and the game will slow down
Game runs well, but has ocassion audio dropoff and suttle visual stutters.
Audio goes in and out with no noticable regard to location.
Stuttering but consistent 60fps
Game was tested on an external TV the majority of the time.
Selecting enable steam play for other titles defaults to proton experimental. Maybe I should check something else for testing? I've done no other tinkering than enabling steam play.
Solo descarga y ha jugar, el unico incoveniente en mi caso es la falta de sonido en el juego.
El juego es totalmente jugable, pero no contiene nada de sonido.
Had slowdowns on last proton version (especially in boss fights) and some zones were near unplayable
Downgrading to 3.16-9 fixed it
Run great without any tweaks
Slight slowdowns with a lot of elements on screen
Had problems with controller on windows, no problem here with a non-standard (xbox/ps4) controller
Not very enjoyable without gamepad support or sound.
No audio whatsoever.
Doesn't detect any controllers
there's no audio output at all
Runs perfectly right out of the box. Haven't noticed any issues, graphical or otherwise.
In a new game, the initial custscene plays normally, but after the gameplay begins crashs are iminent when pausing or going to the next room).
Loading the game through the continue option crashes immediatly, as soon as the scene begins to render it's first frames. When loading by the Retry option, the game will only crash at the same conditions of a new game: pausing or going to the next room.
Currently only intro cutscreen, main menu, settings menu, game loading menu, and new game options works fine with my HW.
In previous versions of Proton the game didin't crash with simple actions, but the NPCs or the playing character wold be invisible. After december Steam's update the game become unplayable, crashing before almost anything can be tested.
Just click in play and runs. With xbox 360 razer onza controller.
Most graphics don't render on intel integrated card
Works flawlessly. Played with Steam Controller.
In fullscreen mode, avoid changing window. Otherwise the game will be the display area will be reduced to a few pixel square in lower left of your screen
Played 12 hours with ds4 controller with zero issues whatsoever.
Generic usb controller doesn't work properly in the menus. Everything else is perfect.
Everything works fine, I used a save file and explored the whole map. Turning on Dinput on options made the keyboard to not work. I had to disconnect my controller then restart the game and turn the Dinput option off. Used steam controller overlay to play.
Can also confirm that an XBOne controller works. No issues whatsoever.
Played briefly, didn't test a controller, seemed to work fine.
