It's a fun time until the fourth area and then the performance drops to a point where it's not worth playing.
set to 40 fps
Text is small but readable
First three areas are fairly smooth and playable (occasional drops into the mid-30's). Fourth area the performance drops drastically and is what I'd consider unplayable (sub 30 fps). Game has no graphical settings to tinker with to try and make it playable.
This was played on a launch Deck.

The first level Caves works great but after the game begins to have a lot of stability issues
Alt-tab in exclusive fullscreen freezes the game
Starting with Town level, game began to stutter and crash frequently

Plays great out of the box with a few caveats for controller users.
ALT TABbing out of exclusive full screen mode made the game unable to be recovered. Fixed by playing in borderless windowed
Slight issues with performance when using mouse and keyboard. Attacking caused a hangup for a handful of frames. This was fixed by unplugging the controller.

Frame rate started to dip the longer the game was open; Went from a smooth 240fps to 80-150 fps after an hour or so.
Was able to play through the entire demo content without any crashes; However, the longer the game was open the worse the preformance got.
Starting out the game had no issues holding 240fps, but after an hour or so it started dipping to double digits; I am unsure if this is related to proton or a resource leak of some sort with the game itself.
DEMO - Works well out of the box
This was the demo. Ran at 2K @144Hz no issues running. Only tested mouse and keyboard
