had one crash when first launched after install

Game doesn't open when I click PLAY. No windows open, no errors, complete failure to load.
I tried proton experimental, proton 9.0-4, nothing works sadly.
Everything works out of the box. Did not do any tinkering and I can enjoy a great round of Quick Cash just fine.

PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME=1 gamemoderun %command%
After a random amount of playtime (usually after a match or two) the game becomes unplayable: framerate drops from 65 to 10-15 specifically when i move my mouse or press any key. Only way to fix this is restarting the game. Not sure if this should be categorized under performance or input lol
Läuft ohne Probleme
gets slightly lower fps compared to windows - probably due to bad nvidia linux drivers - works great and is playable :D
PROTON_USE_EAC_LINUX=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 -high -fps 120

Finally the game if fixed after update, after several weeks im able to play again :)
all my settings have been reset tho

Runs good out of the box

Game unable to launch successfully
Using hyprland, game lunches with two windows --> Black windows which closes and opens and the normal season banner window over which a pop up saying "Failed to initialize dependencies" pops up. If you click through the pop up everything then closes.

Launch commands and GE-Proton9-27 runs the game the best its ever been. Smooth FPS lows and smooth gameplay even with high-debris
gamemoderun __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE_SKIP_CLEANUP=1 %command% -useallavailablecores gamemoderun PROTON_PREFER_SDL=1 %command% -
Works great! Best settings for game since release date. Smoothest play since launch.

Update 3: Error when opening
After latest game update the same error remains...again
tried the configuration from robinluda:
Using wayland + hyprland the game crashed and the solution was to update env=SDL_VIDEODRIVER,wayland,x11,windows from SDL_VIDEODRIVE,wayland on hyprland configuration.
still same problem
When the game launches, two windows pop up, a black one and one with this season banner. soon after, an error pops up: Failed to initialize dependencies. then everything closes.

Game runs far better on linux verses windows 11. ReBar and Above 4G Decoding were enabled in bios
I reccomend using linux for this game verses windows
Working well

Runs great!
Sometimes cannot jump in game and have to alt-tab to restore focus. Affects jumping (with Space) only
Rarely game gets into a state where any mouse movement drops Avg. FPS by 30. Maybe that's my RAM or something (I have 2x8 2666MHz)
Thanks to developers for Linux support! The game gets CPU intensive in fights. Can recommend using "-dx11" flag if bound by GPU. Otherwise, performance is 99% fine for me
compare Windows 10- Smooth, maxed graphics at 4k at ~110 frames per second ..... Arch, proprietary Nvidia drivers- 55 fps at 2560x1440 on minimal settings out of the box- Significant gains found by changing swapiness setting to 0 (This pc has 96gb of ram), so transfers to/from swap must have been happening for no reason. Now running 3200x1800 on a mix of settings (about medium) at ~95 fps.

audio often crackles when announcer says something

No Issues
Just installed the game and clicked on "play" and after I signed in with my Embark ID, it synchronized instantly with my Xbox Save!

Error when opening
gamemoderun %command% -useallavailablecores
Updated the game, Updated proton GE to 27
Still having same issue
When the game lauches, 3 windows pop up sequentially. the first a black window, the second the anti-cheat window the third is the game itself. after the first window before the second widnow an error pops up: Failed to initialize dependencies.
Yeah the game just works on PC but do not play on steam deck it's just not powerful enough to run the game at a stable 60 at 720p

-dx11
I had SIGNIFICANTLY better performance using the start argument to use DirectX11. I am talking lowest settings NoDLSS Cashout Training DX12: 100-120fps, DX11: 140-180fps

Runs just as good as windows after some launch options. Impressed by performance I'm getting but still capping at 120fps
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_EAC_LINUX=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 -high -fps 120

gamemoderun __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE_SKIP_CLEANUP=1 %command% -dx12 -useallavailablecores
Player cards have black haloing around displayed players sometimes, in particularly around hair or other alpha-blending textured parts.
Doesn't fully close in Steam when exiting the game, but you can very painlessly and easily force close it via Steam's library after exiting. Unsure of any fixes for this. Otherwise my launch params squeeze a lot of performance out of the game, I'm able to play on max settings and get at least 60fps out of the game, at most who knows, I cap it at my monitor's refresh rate (165fps/hz) but I do hit that framerate on occasion, not counting loading screens. The game has a history of completely destroying the Linux experience though, so be warned that this info may be outdated by the time you read it. Generally though, Proton Experimental (bleeding-edge) and Proton Hotfix have both been very helpful in getting people in matches when the game is in a "broken" state, so if you find the game entirely unplayable, try switching to those versionf of Proton and give it a try!

Refuses to launch since update 6.1 added a Kernel Level Anti-Cheat
The game has been running well without any issues in the last few months until now. Now it crashes on startup, regardless of Proton version. Went to the store page and sure enough, there's now a disclaimer that the game is using Kernel Level Anti-Cheat.

gamemoderun PROTON_PREFER_SDL=1 %command% -USEALLAVAILABLECORES
Performance akin to Windows, if not better. I have played The Finals since season 1, and have approx. 300 hours at the time of writing. Switched to Fedora Linux around 150 hours of playtime. No noticeable differences.
I use CachyOS kernel with Fedora to squeeze a little more performance out of my machine. Not strictly necessary though. I have issues with my PS5 controller (bluetooth) when using Proton-CachyOS-9.0, so stick with Proton Experimenal.
Recently (mid-season 5), the game broke on Linux. The developers quickly fixed the issue though, to be fair. Switching to Proton Hotfix worked in the meantime. No issues playing season 6 on day 1. Highly recommend!

Works flawlessly, even better than native CSGO2. Awesome game. Interesting alternative to PUBG (which doesnt work neither native nor with proton).

great game it works out of the box right way

Fullscreen was not acting too good on Fluxbox
Mouse sensitivty only changes in the slightest
With no AA: ~70-60 fps, With TUAA: ~60-50 fps
Occasionally freezes up and crashes after a couple of minutes, forcing me to forcefully exit from the game

Ran flawlessly, felt just like the windows version

gamemoderun __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE_SKIP_CLEANUP=1 %command%

use Proton Hotfix and if you are on nvidia use __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE_SKIP_CLEANUP=1 %command% to get rid of long 'precompiling shader pipelines' at start

holds high frames, can record too, not been an issue for me

Can't play
gamemoderun mangohud %command% -dx11
Very long in 0-1 FPS loaded some Pipelines shaders, already somewhere around 70% loaded after a long time and then the game crashes without errors

runs awesome with proton-cachyos and well with proton experimental.

LD_PRELOAD="" SDL_VIDEODRIVER='windows' PROTON_PREFER_SDL=1 PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME=1; gamemoderun %command% -USEALLAVALIABLECORES
Thanks to @itzHanouzz - force proton experimental for the game itself, and set it to bleeding edge in the betas for proton experimental

Works perfectly though sometimes developers break compatibility with updates
Ensuring that Proton Hotfix is used can help with that
