Music does not work
Game closes out the window randomly with no error. Sometimes the game will not finish loading to the main menu after launching. Switching to different proton versions sometimes resolves it.
This is a really rough experience on Linux. Would likely require some more tinkering to get a better experience.

Only graphical glitch encountered while testing was when in fullscreen, if you leave and return to the window it will briefly flash white

works out of the box
just a quick shake-out, no gameplay yet

Sometimes after plugging into a dock and unplugging, the game would not respond to the commands. Rebooting the Deck fixes this, as well as reordering input methods.
Occasionally the game just closes with no error given. Ended up switching to 1 minute auto saves (from the default 5 minutes). Ironically, no crashes since then.

Music doesn't work out of the box.
The game occasionally crashes in the late game.
There is a “not enough workers” bug. However, it can easily be fixed by saving / loading quickly.

Game plays without music, but converting WMA to MP3 works
Music is WMA encoded and won't play on Linux. However, converting to MP3 per the below link allows music to play and the game works as intended.

Music does not play out of the box
To fix the music I converted all the files in the Music folder (.../steamapps/common/Sweet Transit/Content/Sounds/Music
) to an mp3 file using ffmpeg, such as shown in this answer on Ask Ubuntu, removed the wma files, and then changed the extension of the mp3 files to wma. That appears to "trick" the client enough to play the files. You may (as I did) want to make a backup copy of the Music folder prior to fiddling.

On proton 7.0-6 only one song plays, after that there is no music.
Even with tinkering there is still only one song

Needed to switch to an older vesion to get the music working
It runs fine on the Deck, I've been using the trackpad , you can rebind buttons to make it easy if you wish.

I tried this game initially with Ubuntu 20.04.5 Kernel 5.15.0-56 but it didn't start. I tried again after upgrading to 22.04.3 Kernel 6.2.0-26 and so far I have not found any issues.

You should probably play some music in the background unless you like it really quiet. Otherwise it works fine so far (about 3 hours played)
gamemoderun mangohud %command%
No music at all. Sound effects OK.
Crashes on other versions of Proton. Each time you change compatibility tools you must revalidate / fix local game files as the game will crash to desktop without doing so first.
Switched to experimental, works as a charm. Buttersmooth, zero hick-ups playing for some 5hours.

Tips
- Ran it with Proton Experimental, didn't work -> Updated Kernel -> works fine now (Kernel Information: Linux 6.0.7-arch1-1 x86_64)
Performance
- Runs flawlessly on 4k didn't came to crazy endgame yet. Lets find that out :)

Tried Proton 6.3-8, 7.0-4, Experimental, GE 7-31 and GE 7-31 all with Nvidia and AMD but doesn't start.
Crash files say that it couldn't locate a GPU
change the TDP limit to 3W and GPU clock limit of 200 and fps cap of 30. battery last between 4 to 6 hours
all text is hard to read, but becomes at least readable when using UI scale of 100%
only occurs when heavily limiting TDP. when there are no limits, there are no issues
Proton experimental is a must, and so is a community layout. text may be hard to read. runs well when those conditions are met
Does not start with experimental or Proton GE

env __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json %command%
Using hybrid graphics (Nvidia Prime) I had to specify the startup command. The one I use regularly was not enough, though. Source for the startup command: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/ctzud9/nvidia_prime_render_offload_on_a_desktop_with/
Not working even with Proton Experimental BE
It doesn't start at all.
Crash on changing to/from Fullscreen
Needs to be run with Proton Experimental - Bleeding edge version
proton experimental bleeding edge to run the game
Playable using Proton Experimental bleeding-edge. Played through the tutorial without issue.

Black screen
Tried experimental branch of the game, and tried both proton 7 and experimental. Could get to black screen with music on proton 7, nothing on experimental.
Game looks great, hope I can play it someday soon.
Just done tutorials. Seems to work now with BE Proton Experimental.
