Played all levels without issues
gamemoderun mangohud "DXVK_FRAME_RATE"="144" gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -f -r 144 %command%
Fullscreen or windowed fullscreen causes stutter that makes the game unplayable
I fixed this by running it with gamescope with -f. This made the game appear fullscreen with no stutter. Any latency introduced by running the game inside of gamescope can be mitigated by running the in game latency config.
I also included "DXVK_FRAME_RATE"="144" to limit the game framerate to my monitors refresh rate, since when you disable vsync in game it completely uncaps the framerate.
Runs and looks great!
Remember to calibrate your audio offset both through speakers and headphones separately if you're using wireless. The game has a nice feature where you can save multiple audio offsets and easily flip between them depending on what output you're using.
There is stuttering when playing in fullscreen still, play in windowed mode to stop the stuttering
stuttering when in fullscreen
In fullscreen or borderless windowed mode, the game stutters heavily in cutscenes and menus.
This can be fixed by running the game in windowed mode. Use your window manager to fullscreen the game (F11 if using KDE Plasma).
Heavy stutters when running in fullscreen and borderless windowed mode.
Apart from the issues with fullscreen mode, which can easily be fixed, the game is very playable.
gamemoderun %command%
Playing the game in fullscreen/borderless causes stuttering. Windowed mode works without a hitch.
It's fine at first, but later on, it becomes rather unplayable at higher speeds.
Alt-Tabbing causes the game to freak out. You have to click on it 3 to 4 time to get back.
The game stutters with every input during gameplay and in menues.
Somewhat playable, but not acceptable for a rhythm game.
gamemoderun %command%
-Fullscreen and borderless window caused severe stutter -Changing virtual desktop (gnome) crashes the game in any configuration
Works great in wayland! Forced vsync isn't an issue as the game has latency calibration
Game runs fine out of the box, but changing to windowed mode seems to make it run without stutters in the cutscenes.
Change the display to windowed or the game stutters during cutscenes. It seems to run perfectly after doing that!
Full-screen seems to make the game stutter during cutscenes. Change to windowed.
alt tabbing causes game to stop rendering or crash
low frame rate, some stuttering in rendered cutscenes. gamplay was fine
