Works fine
Works fine out of the box, but loading shaders for the first time took A WHILE. I'd say 5+ minutes.
Simply not playable at all. The lag is absolutly horrific. Changing settings did nothing. Absolutly not platinum
Blurring
Too laggy to play even on lowest settings
Works Perfectly
A great game to play that runs perfectly.. when it doesn't crash at unexpected times, taking down my system and requiring a restart.
Full system lockup at random times - sometimes when entering new arenas, or when leaving a round to the game's menu. Required full system reboot. Pretty bad.
I am running suse tumbleweed, which is not very common. However, a full system lockup when doing playing is very bad. People on a server I was running reported they lost connectivity when the game crashes happened, indicating it was not just a graphical lockup.
works out of the box, audio volume borked, multiplayer crashes from time to time - overall pretty good for early access title
Audio sometimes loud somtimes unhearable - but i think its Early Access bugs
crashes only in multiplayer beta
Does not support diacritics of non en_US layouts.
Multiplayer (U10 beta) does not seem to work on linux (even if udp ports seem to be used )
Steady progress from the beginning of the developement but not optimized for proton yet.
Nearly like Native
My Saves weren't there when i installed the game
A few small lags
Outside the Save from Windows, there are a few small lags
Not starting.
U7 ultra combo update not launching on current configuration. Tried the suggested setting and GE 7.10 as well as 7.33. Just won't start. Runs fine on Windows.
Worked great for me. A little over 30 fps without changing anything
Plays almost like native
VERY SLIGHT input lag but again very slight you'll get used to it and it doesn't matter
I am around 80-100 fps which seems a little low for this kind of game
Really good compatability. When you close out it crashes the game; hey it closed but is likley sending a crash report so that might need fixing.
Proton Experimental works
I don't know if its a Linux thing but the game takes a fair bit long to load.
If you're testing GE then just rename or remove the old proton prefix directory named by the steamappid
Proton-6.20-GE-1
Runs good without crashing
I had some game breaking lag spikes when I initially installed this game with proton 6.3-7 but when I updated to experimental proton those issues went away
Not sure what's up, every time I launch, it gets stuck on initial loading screen. Hear music
Tried with normal Proton, Experimental and various builds of GE
Apart from the laggy experience and missing elements, it is a good start for an early access game.
Assigned keys were not saved after a relaunch of the game and after a patch from the devs you can no longer even change keys.
- With settings set to high maxed FPS are around 50.
- With settings set to low maxed FPS are around 75. But in each case it feels a little bit laggy with no visible drawback in overall image quality.
Can't wait to test the multiplayer's features when available.
The devs say that Linux performance is about 30% worse than Windows because of rendering APIs. Many people are having significant performance issues regardless of OS, hopefully it will see some optimization. Experimental seems to run slightly better than Proton 6.20-GE-1. F-sync also improves performance considerably, so there is a benefit to using an f-sync patched kernel.
The reviews from 5 months ago are for the beta, which did crash like a motherfucker, but I haven't gotten any crashes now that the game is in early access. For some reason the menus are capped at 30fps when Vsync is off (????) but it's like that on Windows too.
Sometimes when switching fullscreen mode, the game window turns black or freezes
I used even older proton (3.16-9) I might be lucky but no crashes.
As this game is pre-alpha then it's expected
You can play the demo but only with older proton version, and it still might crash, however given it's early alpha, that's not unexpected
Proton-4.15-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Game crashes a lot. On newer versions of proton it crashes before main menu even.
