Works OOTB with no tinkering.
Ran a cold start while hosting a server. No other players joined, but no issues observed.
On Wayland, selected "Play using DirectX 12" on first launch. Played through the tutorials and the above "scenario," which took about an hour. Observed no issues.
Around 20 FPS
This demo is playable, but not enjoyable because of the game's performance.
Framerate varies wildly and is generally below 20 fps. If you set all the graphical settings to their lowest and the ingame resolution scaling to below 60% it runs better, but still not great, and the game then looks terrible to boot.
It feels like the game could be optimized to run at about 30 fps as there are no issues apart from the performance.
works fine out of the box and i hope dev goes well for the full game release on steam deck
lowered screen res and limited fps along with tdp limiting to 9watts
some game text but this is a tech demo thats only just been funded on kickstater i hope this will change as dev continues
minor slow down on this tech demo
live long and prosper starship sim dev and fans
Not playable on Wayland. Works fine with X11.
Issue only happens when running via Wayland/XWayland. No issues when running via X11.
Crosshair/view gets stuck after moving left or right. It seems like once the real mouse position reaches the edge of the window, it can't move any further.
The wider my resolution is, the more I can move it before it gets stuck.
If I open the menu, move my cursor to the left side of the screen, leave the menu, I'm then able to continue moving my crosshair/view to the right until I reach the edge again.
Läuft leider nicht
If you run a nvidia GPU you NEED to use VKD3D 2.9 at least, hence Proton Experimental or any GE build featureing 2.9, because it's the only version of this compatibility layer workarounds a confirmed nasty Vulkan Driver bug Nvidia did not yet solved since over a half year
Build Alpha 0.221.0.0 works perfectly out of the box with Proton Experimental. You might wanna wait a minute or two for the shaders to be fully loaded. Once that happens, it runs very smoothly.
