The game runs fine if you aim 30 FPS, but the crashes can make it unplayable for many users.
The game crashes every hour or so
The same as single player, it will crash every hour or so.
I would not recommend this game because of the regular crashes.

The game runs decently if you aim 30 FPS, multiplayer works as well. Sadly, the game crashes every hour or so.
It crashes after 1 hour or so
It crashes every hour or so
I cannot recommend the game because of the constant crashes.

fsr3 performance with ultra textures and low settings can deliver a very decent experience
40 fps cap

With the 1.0 update and the addition of FSR 3 my game was able to run between the 50-60 FPS and 17-22W battery usage with everything on low
I put everything on low and used FSR 3 that is added in the 1.0 update which is released 22 Feb

Locked the Game to 30FPS
Game Audio Randomly cuts out when doing something. (I.e Chopping a tree, walking ect.)
Game Struggles to stay at a Stable 30. This will Probably improve down the Road due to the game being in EA but right now don't expect more then a 20-30FPS at all low settings.
Freezes sometimes for a few secconds.
If you Only have a Steam Deck I'd highly reccomend waiting until the game fully releases or a Big Performance update comes out.
I was able to finish the game although it did run terribly and I really couldn't reccomend it to any one.
I installed cryo utils to prevent crashing due to high amouns of ram usage.
Change the steam decks refresh rate to 45hz
When moving the audio becomes distorted.
25-40 fps is somewhat playable but it will most likely get better as the game is further developed.
Even with cryo utils installed it still may crash when you are entering or exiting a cave.
It just needs more time in the oven.

I played this single player on my Steam Deck for about an hour and didn't have any issues with it at all. Just installed it and it worked.
Setting the game to low settings and 1280X720 gave a consistant frame rate of about 30 FPS, the game performed reasonably wel and didn't need any more tinkering than that in my case.

It works pretty well if you make some changes but not very well if you just start the game. Proton GE 49 works well with fixes below.
40 hz/40 fps limit, Power 13 Watts, FSR on steam deck turned on, Allow Tearing, Half Rate Shading
When you first log in there is lag, was the same on my windows PC though. But with the right settings after a few minutes I was gettign 40fps the other 2 hours.
It runs well for me but without tinkering it doesn't run very well at all. Do the CryoUtilities and Vram fix, Turn on FSR on the steam deck, Limit fps and hz to 40, turn Settings to Low and leave Draw Distance at Medium. Also turn on Allow Tearing and Half Rate Shading on the steam deck. Also make sure to run Proton GE-49. Two thumbs up for me IF you do the changes I mentioned, if you don't it won't run well.
Through in-game menu: Capped at 30 FPS, dropped settings to "LOW"
Short of changing some settings for battery (minus the graphics preset, I'd say go no higher than medium) the game worked flawlessly!

Still some work or tricks to be done, graphical tweaks and proton tweaks may make more playable.
Text can be small at parts during early playtime.
Maintained 30-45 FPS on lowest settings, occasional slowdowns to 5 during cutscenes or explosions.
Crashed on Medium settings at default, set to "Ultra Low"
Was able to play the game on ultra low settings and get a little bit of enjoyment out of it. I feel like it would be playable on PC Linux.
Due to the fact that the game is in early access, then observed freezes and difficulties with optimization.I believe that the developers will fix the situation and roll out patches and improvements

Game has significant frame rate drops even at the lowest settings. Crashes completely when Deck is put to sleep while title is active.
Notes and Paper text is extremely small
Game needs to be ran in Low and even then barely manages to stay at 30 FPS, Significant frame rate dips when completing a loading screen.
Steam Deck restarted and verified instilation after putting deck in sleep mode and waking it back up.
Significant frame rate drops ranging from 15-20 loss in fps

Crashing constantly, regardless of Proton version
long as you've got more than 16 GB ram should be fine (24-32 GB ram required to play this I'd say) 16 GB RAM is too close to the limits
3 fps when RAM limit gets close to crashing
this game uses WAY TOO MUCH RAM it crashes because of that around 14.2 GB ram
good until game crashes on deck because maxing out RAM (don't host it on deck!)
definitely playable 30'ish fps vs 40 fps on forest 1, but RAM USAGE CRASHING MAKES IT NEARLY UNPLAYABLE (after about 7 mins(?)) game loads slower too now

I could see it getting better given this is literally day one, but it does not work well right now
On ultra low graphics settings it could just barely crack 30 fps, frequently under 30.
Game crashed and blackscreened the whole Deck after about 10 minutes of playing
not working at launch
Some text is small, but still readable.
The starting cutscene stuttered and froze briefly, however had no issues after the cutscene finished. This could be due to the game in early access, rather than a Deck-related issue.
I changed the graphic settings from the default to "Low", and then adjusted the settings I cared about to be higher (draw distance mainly), as well as removing motion blur as I don't like it. After adjusting the graphic settings I am getting a consistent 60 FPS, however before I changed the settings it was closer to 30 with some moments of it dropping below. I've found no major issues with the game playing on deck and out of the box it is very playable.

low frames to 30 FPS
when frams drops, sound drops as well
Runs at 30 FPS with a lot of frame drops and at 25 watts
Steam crashed after about 3 min, i think it was overheating. Display stayed on, power led was off, need to forcely restart the steam deck. I just tryed it ones.
