There were some texture overlapping on ultra settings but it was not present on high.
Had to manually put the game into fullscreen, otherwise it just stays in black doing nothing.
I previously was mistaken, the game does work but it doesn't look like that unless I put it into fullscreen manually.
Seems like starting but doesn't go further than that.
I tried different Proton versions including GE, also needed a user agent switcher to fool BattleLog. When I start the campaign, a window opens but nothing happens. It just stays in black screen.
Unexpected slowness when climbing ladders
When in the server browser, change your browser user agent to Windows Vista+ so you can start the game
The browser launcher requires you to start Origin before playing the campaign, but the button to start Origin is broken.
Used a user-agent spoofer
Works great (played the whole campaign + some multiplayer)
You need to install an user-agent switcher add-on in your browser and set your user-agent to a compatible Windows version.
I had to turn of MSAA since this caused a weird graphics glitch on skin. Probably just an unfortunate bug of the current DXVK version/Nvidia driver, not a general issue.
Used the EA App Lutris script and installed BFH via this installation
As others mentioned, you will need to switch the user agent. By default, Battlelog will also want you to install a plugin, to start the game. This can be disabled in the Battlelog under settings. Besides that, the game works flawlessly.
Browser game launcher requires Windows user agent to launch the game.
Browser requires Windows User Agent
Fix this by downloading a user-agent switcher add on from your browser web store. Switch to a user agent that has Windows.
An old game but wanted to add my report. This game works for me but required some tinkering. The problem is that when you launch the game normally from Steam in gaming mode, it opens 'Battlelog' a browser window where you then are to launch the game, however you get an error saying you're not using a supported version of Windows. There is a workaround that I found for Battlefield 3, that also works for Hardline. In Desktop mode.. Add the Firefox UA switcher to Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/uaswitcher/ Set the new extension to the first/top option for Windows Add Firefox as a non-steam game Switch to Gaming Mode Launch the game from Steam You'll get a web browser pop-up where you would then launch the campaign. Press the Steam button and launch Firefox. The game will be running in the background. In Firefox, navigate to/search for Battlelog for Hardline. You may need to login with your EA account. Get to the same page that you were in while playing the 'game' to launch the campaign, and launch the campaign. It should load since you are now loading it from Firefox, while the UA switcher is telling Battlelog that you're playing from a Windows device with the correct version. Press the Steam button, and switch back to the game (from Firefox). The game should now be loaded
After setting Browsers User-Agent to IE11 Battelog could be used without any problems
Won't launch.
No go for this one.
I get this error evry time i try to run the game " Please check that you fulfil all of these requirements:
Windows Vista or later Compatible 32-bit (not 64-bit) Web Browser" So no go for this one."
Browser doesn't launch the game properly
I was able to get some response from the game by changing my browsers user-agent to a windows+firefox combination. The typical steam startup window opens but the game itself never launches.
Disappointing
Just like everyone else, I was able to install the game without an issue, but when I try to play it opens a web browser, which shows that I am not running Windows Vista or later and therefore won't launch.
Il gioco si installa e si riesce ad accedere al menù origin. Ma il gioco non parte
Manjaro gnome wayland + rx 6800 xt
Opens Battlelog in browser. Cannot launch game from Battlelog.
Fails because Origin
Steam starts Origin it is possible to log in etc. but Origin fails to load the library and launch the game.
