Not matter what option I select (yes or no) the game stops and ends.

Works out-of-box from limited testing.
Did not encounter notable issues over 21 minutes of playtime.
Initial launch may take a few moments on first install.
Flawless experience out of the box in Steam Proton 6.3.
Occasional loss of mouse cursor that is fixed with ALT+TAB
Works flawlessly out-of-the-box.
Smooth visuals and effects.

The game runs great out of the box, even considering it's in alpha.
Only noticeable issue is that you need to Alt-Tab back into the game when you exit the Options menu
Game runs perfect out of the box. Played online matches. Had some lag but it was probably my slow(ish) internet connection.

black screen upon spawn
so i would get all the way through to multiplayer and even see the top down interface but upon selecting spawn it would just go to a black screen and i would have to manually go and kill all infinity battlescape processes

Didn't need to do anything to get it running, no errors on menus & can join matches.

Runs fine, at load screens crashes with DX11Renderer exception. Logs always mention a texture failing to compile
Game crashes upon loading usually, but sometimes menu music starts playing and the game freezes instead of crashing. Somehow I was able to load the game a few times and even connect to the server twice. It was about 10-15 fps near the station, but around 100 in deep space. However, both times game crashed after getting close to battle places. Since then the game always crashes at loading screen, I don't understand on which conditions the game can progress past initial loading. None of the proton tweaks changes anything, successful attempts were without any environment variables being set. Though, I managed to load main menu once with "wined3d" option, but that's it, game crashed upon connecting to the server (also planet's lighting/color on the background was a bit wrong). According to I:B logs the problem is with textures creation.
P.S.: Just in case, I ran the game on Windows 8, to be sure that my hardware is capable, the result was more than satisfying: 90-120 fps most of the time, drops to 40-50 in very intense situations.

Long time backer, so am able to get on Early Access to this game. It works perfectly now out of the box on Steam (dotnet work was needed pre-Steam). Jaw dropping visuals, high FPS, sound, MP - all perfect from the get-go. MMO space combat, no grind, no loot boxes. Enjoy!
