Works perfectly
Does work with 2 controllers or shared keyboard
You need to map the controls yourself while in-game, but this is just due to how this game was ported from the NES, not because of any problems with linux or the steam deck

Run out of the box.
On i3wm to go fullscreen you have to open the in game menu and change the full screen option.

These options get the game to work for my old graphics card
Changing the Windows size will crash the game
Runs flawlessly out of the box. Fullscreen mode is atypical on tested window manager (i3wm).
On i3wm, fullscreen doesn't cover desktop bar as it usually would. I imagine this is like "windowed borderless" as opposed to true "fullscreen".
Did not test controller support.

It's just perfect! Runs smoothly and without any problem. Tested using my Xbox 360 gamepad and it's a blast. Nothing more to add. A solid Platinum.

This (at least for my settings) isn't just 'Platinum', but wasn't able to turn up a minor glitch.. My Logitech (X/D)-input controller works out the box..Not a glitch even for 'windowed/fullscreen'-settings, which really seem to be prone to them.. And the game even warns of them, when changing between fullscreen and different windowed-modes; (obviously aimed at windows××-versions;) that a restart could be needed. -So, this obviously is some very well optimized ♥♥♥♥. Thanks Valve, thanks Meshcat Games!

Did not test controller support. Fps stuttered a few times, but I think that's more due to me using my integrated gpu. Fullscreen in i3wm was still showing i3 bar. Aside from this, game ran flawlessly

Everything is fine. Runs perfectly!

Starts quickly, runs exactly as expected. Controller support is working, just requires you to set the button map in the game's built-in menu (no different than it would work in Windows).

Played until just after the second boss in single player, controller support not tested.
