delete game compat files before launch

The game fails to launch if I do not first delete the compatibility files created from the previous launch (SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/1778820).
While I do experience a minor issue with the compat files, I do not think this is a large hurdle for entry and does not detract the enjoyment of the game.
