Native version opened to a black screen, but refused to get further than that. Switching to use experiemental Proton fixed my issues
With Proton 7.0-1, the game refused to let me walk around and I couldn't open the control binding options menu. Downgrading solved my issues.
Out of the box, it runs, albeit the main menu is a little weird looking without the background videos. Once you're in-game, you'll forget it
protontricks -c /home//Downloads/mf-install/mf-install.sh 656700
If running without tinkering, I can play, but the movie files used in cutscenes and in the main menu are missing, replaced with a tv static screen or something similiar. You can still navigate the menus and play the game.
With mf-install for fixing cutscenes, I got crashes during loads, but was still able to play. Less stable than without mf-install, but at cost of no cutscenes.
Try without mf-install. If you are eager to watch the cutscenes and menu bg videos, give it a shot, but don't expect to run it without crashing if you do.
Installs dependencies, doesn't launch
I've tried with the latest 7.0-1, with proton experimental, and with the oldest version available through steam, 3.7-8. No luck with any other than it installing the C++ dependencies. Hard pass on this one
