Works just fine out of the box with Debian 11/12 using the NVIDIA driver for my RTX 3070 TI and an Xbox controller. The G29 wheel wont work.
Only that the Logitech G29 steering-axis is bricked. You can turn right, but as soon as you turn left your vehicle immediatly goes Full right. In both FS 19 and 22 one could run the game using proton 6.3 to solves this but no longer works with FS22. Works fine with any compatible controller which is good enough.

Some sounds like 'inventory full' and the sound blocks make while being welded won't work.
Every once in a while the game crashes. High (slow) disk I/O cache. High memory usage, hinting at .NET garbage collection issues probably. Clear disk I/O cache before starting the game. Also clear swapspace if applicable.
The game installs and plays alright. The game may crash depending on your hardware and Gnu/Linux setup. If that happens set every graphic setting to medium and lower grass density to 0 and disable post processing effects. Multiplayer works, singleplayer works, the game runs smoothly, I have tested playing on my own server which is a complete starsystem world. If you are a technical person, try getting the .NET garbage collection to work, it could be the reason why SE crashes after 2 or 3 hours. Good luck!

The pre-alpha release of Space Engineers 2 works great out of the box on Debian 12 with the propriatary NVidia driver (550.135 at the time of writing) for the RTX 3070 Ti. The game starts and is playable as it is advertised in it's pre-alpha release. The game should feature raytracing support but I could not get it to work, I checked my own setup with Cyberpunk 2077 and raytracing works with my setup. This will probably eventually get fixed at some point during the development of SE2. The provided proton launch options are optional, on a Debian(based) setup with recent NVidia GPU drivers the game should run without. I tried these options in an attempt to get raytracing to work. Keep in mind that although the performance is excellent now, this may change in the future when more gets added to the game in later release stages, especially on setups using RTX 2060 or earlier. My system holds V-sync (75hz/fps) with extreme graphics preset. Check the roadmap and more info on the official Space Engineers 2 website if you want to learn more.
