The game is very playable, but I have one nitpick:
It seems like the audio buffer adjustments made in the game's settings aren't reflected by the the game's audio buffer size, but this probably has something to do with Proton and not the game itself. I tried making the buffer size 128, but the buffer size proton used for the game remained at 256. 256 is perfectly playable, so it's not a big deal, it's just worth noting since audio delay is important to these kinds of games.
There might be a way to adjust the audio buffer size using a config file in the system somewhere, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. I'm using PipeWire for my audio.
Works out of the box, no tinkering required. Proton version 9.0-4

Changing to full screen mode is done in a slightly odd way. You have to change the "resolution" in the display settings to "FULL SCREEN", then the game will maximize and the border / title bar will disappear. Credit to "brianc1825" on pointing this out here:
