As previous reports mention, there is an issue with the cutscenes when the default Proton shipped with Steam is used. However, I can confirm that the issue is resolved with Proton-GE.

Minigames do not load at all. The game gets stuck at the minigame transition screen (background with the stars).
Unfortunately switching to the suggested Proton version didn't really help. I am using the Flatpak version of Steam, so maybe that's the problematic part. However, as it is now, since the minigames don't load, the game is unplayable.
