The game works but it stopped working

I know this game was working, I can open it and go past the menu, however, as soon as video starts playing it crashes and before I was able to play it.
For some stupid reason now it doesn't

This is an issue of my window manager
I had to bypass the paradox launcher in order for the game to work. The menu does launch but it shows only a broken menu that I could not interact with, the solution was to just skip the launcher altogether i.e rename Victoria2.exe to something else and v2game.exe to Victoria2.exe
