Previoius install broke after EA updated their launcher. Redownloading the game fixed the issue. This was also the case for other EA titles
Crashed on startup every time I tried to click "Play Game". Got a long "file not found" exception to some memory address. Fixed it by playing with the GE version. Runs without any issues and crossplaying with someone that is on Windows.
On wayland, the menu's get slower and slower overtime. Alt-tabbing resolves the issue for a while, but it does come back. Personally I don't mind it too much
Make sure to enable proton 7.0-2, since the native version does NOT work.
Use the native version. When launching the game, choose "Play War Thunder" instead of launching the game through the launcher. When launching through the launcher, I get the same issues people are reporting.
