As others have stated, deleted Launcher.exe and made a link for Borderlands2.exe to Launcher.exe. Game take a very, very long time to start, as in somewhere in the range of 5-10 minutes just to get to the menu. This is the only reason why it's getting Silver instead of Gold. Once in-game it runs perfect.
The game ran without any issues right from the gate. There were a few performance hiccups but none of them lasted anymore than a second or two. Absolutely playable.
No matter what version of Proton used or what launch options set I can not get Doom 3 to load past the intro cut-scene. It always crashes. Have tried 4.11-7, 4.2-9, and 3.16-9 with a wide array of launch options listed here. Nothing works. Doom 1 and 2 seem to work fine regardless of settings.
Game would refuse to open at first. Runs fine after adding the following to the Launch Options: MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.5COMPAT MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=450 PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
First two fix the white screen issue and the second gets the game to open. Played for multiple hours with zero issues.
DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 %command%
The game has run via Proton for quite while now but without voice recognition support which is a major component of the game. Tested today as they recently updated with a new voice recognition tool that doesn’t require Windows. It works perfectly! Great game to get killed with your friends. I ran with a DXVK option to lock the frame rate but you could definitely just install and launch.
