Works perfectly.
Fullscreen resolution is scaled from the size of the window before enabling fullscreen.
Workaround: Use windowed and force fullscreen with your window manager or with gamescope.
gamescope -w 1440 -h 1080 -- %command%
Lowering the resolution seems to help reduce the crashing.
Alt-Tabbing too many times sometimes crashes the game.
Running with Proton 8.0-3 caused higher CPU usage and slightly lower framerates than Proton GE.

Game actually ran better on linux than on windows. Song loops would sometimes break on windows.
Very rare crashes, a non-issue since the game auto-saves frequently.
Game works just fine. Did not get any issues during gameplay.
Game starts in fullscreen at the lowest possible resolution.
I did not get the audio problems that others have reported.
I did notice that the game does seem to use ALSA so having the configuration package for your sound server installed or just using pure ALSA would probably fix it.
pipewire-alsa
is the package for the PipeWire ALSA configuration on Arch Linux.
gamemoderun mangohud %command% -nojoy -vulkan
Stuttering when entering new areas or opening portals for the first time in a map.
V-Sync is needed for no tearing but causes slight input latency. Without -vulkan the game will not use flipping on fullscreen for some reason.
Proton-6.15-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Proton GE
Music started crackling when starting a new game but stopped after a while.
Camera would spin uncontrollably if launched with vanilla proton. I also had to disable Smoothing in the controls settings. After that, the game was playable.
Use Proton GE 6.15 https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom
