Step to run the game:
- Rename file rename.exe to: rename_backup.exe
- Duplicate (Copy/Paste) file CAPTAIN TSUBASA RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS.exe
- Rename CAPTAIN TSUBASA RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS.exe to: rename.exe
I only play single player. Maybe this trick disable the Versus mode.
With defaul settings it won't start. Using Proton < 7 (even the native linux options) it quicly shows DOSBox logo and presents the game language selection. But after choosing a language, it crash back to Steam.
The game start with a classic "Windows" window where is possible to change resolution. Just press STEAM button while using the right trackpad as a mouse and L2 as Left Click to set 800p and press OK.
Good Deck experience out of the box. The game is dark and obviusly some tiny text is gameplay not a Deck problem.
I add a second "run" also on button L1 (the default on L3 hurts my finger on the very long run in the final fase)
Better reducing a lot the stick sensitivity (easy to do in game settings)
I had a bug but I think is the game and not the Deck: in the last puzzle (just before the big scare jump...) placing the toy didn't work and I had to restart the autosave (and doing all the section from begin.... there are no custom saves)
Beetween 20-30fps when walking and there are many trees and animations (that is... always, unless you like to stand still at 60fps)
