- Duplica el archivo CAPTAIN TSUBASA RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS.exe
- Ahora renombra CAPTAIN TSUBASA RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS.exe como: rename.exe
- Vuelve al modo Juego y ejecútalo. Funcionará perfectamente :)
Rename rename.exe to whatever, duplicate main game exe and rename it to rename.exe
Without renaming the exes, the game will stop at an EasyCheat splashscreen
When played with external controller, the Deck itself will be detected as controller #2 by the game
Renaming the exes as noted in other reports is the only way you can get the game to launch, runs pretty well once you do that though, performance wise.
Would just like to add that when using an external controller (i.e., docked mode), even if you don't connect other controllers, the Deck's native controls will be detected as a 2nd controller by default. Problem with this is that the local Versus modes are supposed to be playable solo against the CPU, but this can only happen when the game detects just one controller, when it detects two it won't let you start the game until you assign player 2 to a side. Since currently it is not possible to turn off the Deck's native controls (without some sort of hacking, at least?), this essentially means that playing those modes single player is impossible unless you're playing without external controllers (i.e., handheld mode).
Follow the instructions of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVUwfOVuSzc. It's quite simple
I used to play this game a couple of years ago and I could complete it without problems in Linux.
Rename: "rename.exe" to "rename_anything.exe". Rename: "captain tsubasa rise of new champios.exe" to "rename.exe"
Without changing the files, the game will not work because of EAC
What is reported, in one of the above comments, to work on SteamDeck, works on the PC version too, i.e.:
<<Go to desktop mode, in the folder where steamdeck installs Captain Tsubasa (you migh need to allow hidden folders to show up), rename the “rename.exe” file to “rename_backup.exe”, duplicate the “captain tsubasa rise of new champios.exe” file and rename the duplicate to “rename.exe” . Works great, with no problems ever since>>
Sugestão do amigo "krwawisz" thank you a lot.

Won't work right from the box, but renaming a file makes it work great
Tried numerous proton versions, none worked
Game stops to work
2 years ago, game worked but now is broken. We see the easy anticheat screen and that's it
Step to run the game:
- Rename file rename.exe to: rename_backup.exe
- Duplicate (Copy/Paste) file CAPTAIN TSUBASA RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS.exe
- Rename CAPTAIN TSUBASA RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS.exe to: rename.exe
I only play single player. Maybe this trick disable the Versus mode.
Game freezes on EAC screen and won't even go into the main menu. I assume Easy Anti-Cheat is the culprit here.
Game should be removed from "deck verified" as its misleading.

Doesn't Start at all. Most likely thanks to EAC. Doesn't deserve verified status.
Game runs perfectly story mode is fully playable. Game worked well on both 1440p and 4k resolutions, haven't tested 1080p.
Minor Screen Tearing during the opening cut scene when players walk onto the pitch. No screen tearing after that
Can open up the multiplayer menu and join games, however you get instantly kicked from the match as soon as it starts. Fucc EAC and Epic Games
I played Tsubasa Mode (1 time) and Hero mode (3 times) without big problems
It does not seem something related to Proton. Similar comments for Windows.
Sometimes it crashes. There are comments about this in Steam in Windows too.
I just installed the game and it started up and I just played the tutorial without issues. I have not tested the multiplayer.
Runs like a charm, even MP works?! (Even tho its EAC?!)
IT WORKS!!!!???
