If you want to experiment a bit - the game supports 3 graphic APIs - DirectX 11 (the default), DirectX 12, and OpenGL.
- To switch to DirectX 12 (so that Proton would use VKD3D) add
-dx12
to the launch options - For OpenGL (will run without API translation) add
-gl
Not sure if you'd want to actually play it - the game is pretty P2W :)
The game works much slower than on Windows on my RX 570.
The game uses EAC, but seems like the devs have spent time to make it support Linux - I can play multiplayer just fine and complete entire rounds without any kicking or instabilities.
With Proton-GE game launches and works fine, but the very low FPS bug when not holding the mouse button makes it unplayable.
For some reason the FPS is really low (around 3) but it goes to normal if you're looking around (holding right mouse button).
The game does not run with the latest Proton from Steam (even Experimental), but works with https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases - tested with Proton-6.20-GE-1
Unity game, works nicely, but I recommend disabling DXVK for better FPS, especially on lower-end GPUs.

The game is really slow with DXVK for some reason, but it's fine with wine's d3d11.
