Game as such works!
Audio (sound) does not work!
- Solutions: Install Proton 4.11-13 version via Steam Tools Install protontricks via your package manager (APT, Zypper, DNF, Pacman, ...); alternatively install protontricks from source, instructions here: https://github.com/Matoking/protontricks Type into terminal (command line): protontricks 287450 directmusic (protontricks sometimes will not automatically create a symlink [command not found], so /path/to/protontricks 287450 directmusic may be more applicable) Audio works like a charm after protontricks

I wonder what has to be done in order to play the game without any hassles on the latest Proton/Wine versions . . .
The intial screen menu is separated by dividing horizontal and vertical thin lines (2x3-3x4). Nothing serious though, it is ONLY seen in the MENU and NOT in the actual GAMEPLAY.
After each STARTup, initial videos are unable to watch. There is a black screen instead. ESCape button needs to pressed several times in order to "skip" into the main menu and start playing. The same applies to starting a new game . . .
The game works only with PROTON version 4.2-9 or BELLOW. Proton EXPERIMENTAL / NEXT / HOTFIX or STABLE (7.0-x) is not able to start the game - Exiting the game with a two-second black pop-up screen . . .
The exactly SAME METHOD applies to Sacred Gold Reborn HD repack.
