Affects dual monitor setups - Alt-tabbing sometimes randomly moves the game to a different monitor. Keep holding alt and enter the window where coh2 now is with your mouse, then release tab. Repeat until fixed, sometimes wildly alt-tabbing also works.
Game WILL have a sync error after ~2-5mins of gameplay and subsequently crash everybody that participated in the online match. However, this fix completely removes this issue: https://gist.github.com/jrbergen/0ce746676c4fbcc2becd6054d1bba2ed
Linux is technically supported natively, however will only allow you to play with other linux players. Proton is recommended.
The game is both play- and enjoyable by just enabling proton experimental (and in my case installing the nvidia drivers)
Was forced to lower from high to medium. Enabling motion blur has severe performance impact.
Note: I had some trouble with the NVIDIA drivers. Namely, as of the making of this report, the nvidia-driver package will not install on or above kernel version 6.1.0-18-amd64, which made the game literally unplayable for me (extreme performance loss and crashes). If you are unable to install the NVIDIA driver normally & are thus unable to play the game, here's how I fixed it: You need to install an older version of the kernel (6.1.0-17-amd64 or below) using apt and switch to it using the advanced options in GRUB. You should then be able to install the drivers normally, switch to experimental and enjoy the game.
