You need protontricks 1.2.2 and winetricks 20190310, other versions didn't work. Run "protontricks 244850 -q --force dotnet472 xact". Rename the KSH.wmv file in "/Content/Videos". No need to Disable Esync as it will just reduce game performance futher.
Stutters still present but using the Valve Mesa ACO driver it is more stable frame rate 30-60 fps normal Mesa will not render shadows correctly, Mesa ACO will however render it correctly.
Multiplayer works with plenty of mods.

had to turn details or grass down to avoid crashing but other than that it is bug free

and turned Voxel quality to low - else it will crash. Rest works fine on Ultra.
Also used Glorius Eggroll proton since it fixes alt tabbing issue on normal proton versions
only minor lagspike when saving or crashing ships at very high speeds into walls, that is to be expected however as it is alot of physics and the game is in alpha.
