If you're using the SADX Mod Installer by PkR, use these launch options to make sure Lantern Engine will work. Use protontricks to run the installer and install .NET 8. Proton Experimental can now run the game without fucking up the FMVs, so you don't have to switch to Proton-GE anymore.

With the SADX Mod Loader pack by PkR, the splashing sound from the end of the Sonic Team FMV keeps looping all the way to the main menu. Not annoying, but noticeable.
If you're not using mods, then this game works out of the box. Almost feels like this was made with Deck compatibility in mind.
