Performance seems a little janky, framerate is okay but I'm getting stutter I don't get on windows.
Had to follow https://github.com/redmcg/wine/wiki to get it working
Had to run winetricks dotnet40 vcrun2015 win7 to get this to run.

If you want to access journals (for use with other tools like EDMC or EDD), or access in-game screenshots see below.
Replace $STEAMAPPS with the proper path for your steam library's steamapps folder.
If the game is already running when you do this you'll need to restart it.

Create a folder at $STEAMAPPS/compatdata/359320/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/Frontier Developments/Elite Dangerous/

Works out of the box, but to get Online working need to add "WINEDLLOVERRIDES=winedbg.exe=d %command%" to the launch options
If you're only in it for the single player then it's nearly perfect.
Shift key doesn't seem to work in Reach for armour ability. I was able to re-bind it to shift in the menu fine so the game is detecting it, but for some reason when actually playing it doesn't work for me.
Works perfect out of the box, however multiplayer is not available. Landing on the Anomaly you're all alone
Need to change the prefix to run as windows 7 rather than 10
