Best to cap the fps at 40-50
Game runs perfectly on Steam Deck, but native partial controller support is hit or miss so I recommend using one of the great community layouts. Other than that, chef's kiss.
No controller support of course. WASD default layout works just fine in handheld though. You may want to remap some things to make it easier, up to you.
Did not load old PC saves. Had to start fresh.
Played Dungeon Hack and it worked pretty great considering. I might remap some controls for easier movement but this game works well out of the box.
Works great out of the box! If using an external controller, see my other note. Otherwise, the game is absolutely perfect for the steam deck
My external xbox controller was not immediately recognized. I had to "reorder" controller in the controller settings. If you are playing directly on the deck, and not with an external controller, you don't need to worry about this.
Game works perfect out of the box and isn't too harsh on battery life. You might want to alter the in-game settings to zoom in on your character and make the text larger if you're playing handheld, but the game makes this super easy. A ton of fun on the deck!
Great game but it does not have controller support so only play if you are okay with using mouse & keyboard controls.
No controller support, despite Steam noting otherwise in the "playable" verification.
PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 %command%
Must close launcher after starting game, otherwise the game stutters
Performance can be less than perfect when a lot is happening on screen, but no different than pc.
Game takes some tinkering for initial setup. Must click through and close the launcher after each startup. I recommend using an updated proton version and tweaking the game graphics down some. However, once you've set it up how you like, the game can run amazingly well at 60 fps.
